Daria parked the car and led us to what looked to be the biggest building at the place.
"This is the main office where you will meet the Director. Be warned he is not to be messed with and please stay sensible around him," Daria instructed and led us into the building.
On the way, though I somehow lost Daria and Elite Princess because now I am standing in an empty hallway looking around confused. Then I hear a hard cough to my left and I turned to see a man in his twenties looking at me. He is leaning against the wall with a smirk and his eyes glinted. He oozed confidence and yet I wanted to be around him... forever. Wow, he looks charming yet I feel uncomfortable around him.
"Who are you?" I blurted out, snapping me out of my haze.
"Director Edgar," he smirked.
"Oh, you're the leader of this place?"
"Yes, I am, now come along. Daria and Gracie will be in my office by now," Edgar said, a slight edge to his voice when he said Daria.
Huh, maybe they don't get along. Edgar led me through the hallways until we reached a door. Edgar opened it and sauntered in. Elite Princess was sitting poised and Daria was pacing around. When she saw me, she smiled in relief.
"Thank goodness you're here. Don't go getting lost again," Daria gushed.
"It's fine," I muttered uncomfortably, I haven't been cared for since I was 14.
Well, not by an adult. Of course, I had Clover... and Stephen, but I've only ever texted or called him. I sat down next to Elite Princess and Edgar sat across from us, putting his feet up on the desk.
"So children, welcome to my Summer Camp. Daria, show them to their cabin and I will see you at the welcoming feast afternoon," Edgar explained.
Daria nodded and we followed her out of the main office. She pointed to the nurse's office as we walked and I nodded. Finally, after walking past a heap of cabins and lots of trees we reached 2 secluded cabins. My excitement rose, I was going to see Stephen.
"You are in there and the boys are in the other ones. See you at Dinner," Daria instructed and walked away.
Elite Princess strode past me and disappeared into the cabin. I sighed and walked up to the door, taking a deep breath before opening the door. I immediately noticed the difference in the 2 sides of the room. There was a strip of duct tape in the middle separating the 2 sides. There was a bunk bed on each side. Gracelyn was sitting on the bottom bunk and was reapplying her lipstick once again. On the top bunk was another girl and she looked like Gracelyn with the same clothes and makeup. Ah, another Elite. This one looked different though, she had braided black hair and hazel eyes. My eyes moved away from the other Elite to the girl laying on the top bunk of my side. To my utter surprise, it was my best friend.
"Clover?" I screeched.
"Zara?"
"Clover."
My best friend jumped off the bed ungracefully and tackled me into a hug. Her short brunette hair falling over her face covering her sparkling blue eyes. God, I have missed my best friend. I haven't seen her in ages and now she's here with me for 6 weeks. We burst out laughing as we sit up. Though what I noticed was Clover looked different, her face was clean and she was in a new pair of skinny jeans. They were still blue and not faded. Plus, she wasn't in a plain tee-shirt anymore. She was wearing a tucked-in purple wrap shirt that showed off her petite body.
"You look freaking gorgeous," I gushed.
"Thanks," Clover smiled. "You get a new outfit too," she added.
