Soccer

Today was soccer tryouts for the little juniors as both boys and girls will be judged to see who will join the team. Robby had a flyer ahead of time and made sure for his dad to bring him. In fact, they were an hour early for tryouts as Johnny only wants to support his son. The tryouts began as the coach was giving each participant a chance to prove themselves. He was impressed when it was robby's turn and immediately put him on the team.

When it was almost over, the coach used the microphone asking if there was any participant left to tryout and no one said anything until a car came. Sam rushed out of the car as she was rushing her dad to come on. They make it as johnny was surprised to see daniel again. Sam asked the coach if she can tryout as he let her have a go. She takes a deep breath before starting as daniel walks by johnny's side, "I know she's good but I'm nervous."

"Don't be. Your kid is killing it out there" he roots for her as she's making her way to the goal. Other parents root for her as robby did too before she makes a goal. The coach slowly walks up to her as daniel's fist go into a ball, "I wonder what's he saying to her?"

"Who knows" johnny said before sam screams and jumps in joy as she's on the team. She ran to her dad telling him how the coach wants her on the team. They hug as johnny congrats her before robby says how he's on the team too. The kids go off to play with the other kids as the coach approaches to them.

"Lawrence. Larusso....your kids got potential to make it if they keep practicing and want to go into the professionals. I hope to see you guys at practice on Tuesday" He said before talking to other parents about practice and their uniforms. Johnny and daniel look at each other before laughing.

"Well looks like we'll be soccer dads?"

"Hey! I'll only yell at the referee if I feel like he's not doing his job and my kid is hurt" they chuckled as daniel liked seeing this kind of johnny. The fatherly side who's responsible, caring, and supportive of his son. He never would've thought the impulsive, snarky johnny he knew in the past would be this type of person. People could change especially for the ones they love.

It was getting late, Daniel called for sam as she came by his side and waves, "Goodbye Mr. Lawrence, Goodbye Robby" they said their goodbyes before parting ways. Robby was in the backseat driving his caprisun asking, "Dad, was that man you were talking to a friend?" It caught johnny off guard since they had history and you don't exactly tell a 5 year-old that's your ex.

"Yeah. He's an old friend of mine."

"Okay" Robby replied before looking out the window until they arrive home.
