You wake up to a mind full of the girl, what is her name, what is she going through, why won't she talk to anyone? It was Saturday and you were going to the fields to play basketball with the guys so you push her as far back in your mind as you could. You think of a happier note and continue on to the shower. Then your phone goes off with a ping. You turn to look at the alert and see a "Haay Mattipoo!" Turns out he didn't give her the wrong number. he didn't answer and dismissed the message. He continued on to the park without worry.
"Matty likes the mute girl Matty likes a mute girl!" Kids would shout as you passed them. It's a good thing you had a sense of humor, if you didn't no doubt you would have beaten them in two blows. You continue on until you reach the basketball court.
Your small team wins two games out of the three that you were able to play before it got to dark to see. you had forgotten all about the girl and wonder if she would still be out there. You come into the house to be greeted by your mothers cooking. It's smell was too good to be true but you weren't hungry you tell your mother that you had a long day and just want to sleep. As you are pulled into a dark hole you think of the girl and maybe learning how to sign.
