The Worst Way To Start

It was the first day of school and everything was already going wrong right as soon as I woke up. Not only did I have less than five minutes to get ready, but my ex, Jacob, showed up to take me to school in his new car. Ever since our very short relationship in the eighth grade, he hasn't been able to leave me alone. I'll admit, he's a very attractive boy... Dark brown hair, blue eyes, and just the perfect height. Yes, he is someone every girl gets all starry-eyed over, but he's nothing to completely fall for, at least that's what I try to tell myself.

He's very sweet and has a sense of humor, but not everything about him is perfect. He has several noticeable flaws, so don't think he's one of those perfect gentlemen that make all the right moves.

Anyway, so the boy knocks on my door right as I'm heading out. Of course when I open the door he looks amazing, he's dressed in jeans, a white shirt, and a black leather jacket. I, on the other hand, have my hair in a sloppy braid, a baggy black shirt on, skinny jeans, and some black combat boots. Great, this adds on to my perfect morning. Jacob smiles with his perfect white teeth and bites his lip,

"Can I give you a ride to school?"

I glanced down at my phone and nodded. Sighing, he escorted me to his shiny red Corvette. He opened the door for me as I slid in. As we drove to the school, Jacob had to stop at the gas station, which made us late to school.
