// If there are any misspellings of Ivysaur im sorry I kinda messed up there. And if not then good im glad //

Three long years as a pokemon trainer. So much longer than it felt. It feels as if he's only been gone a couple months. But seeing by his lack of strong pokemon, most of his journey has been nothing but sightseeing and making strong bonds with his six buddies. Marco always wonders if his family misses him. If his little brother still wants to be a pokemon trainer like Marco. He's already eighteen since he got bulbasaur at 15. Yet he still feels like a child, taking things so calmly. At his age shouldn't he be competing and fighting in the leagues? No no that's not his style. Marco enjoyed more of the sight along the way and the friends he made. Not that he didn't still fight with them. After all, ivysaur didn't evolve from just walking around and watching sunsets as they fish for magikarp.

The rest of his team was pretty basic. One of his first catches being a cubone that Marco felt really bad for Balbasaur to attack when he did. The little guy didn't listen to him for a while, refusing to listen to his commands or anything. But after a while of seeing how he treated his starter the little guy gave in. Finally letting him work with him and fight in battles. By now he's evolved into Marowak and is stronger than ever.

Drowzee being the second he caught. There wasn't much to his catch. They found him resting in some grass and walked over to check if he was alright. Seemed he was just chilling there and actually chose to be caught. He just reached out and tapped one of the pokeballs around Marco's waist.

Dewgong and Sandslash were both two other pokemon he caught and evolved. They were nothing special and were caught like any other pokemon.

And his last one. Marco still doesn't know if he's too happy about this catch since Mr. Mime always creeped him out as a kid. Mimes and clowns in general were scary to the freckled boy. But Mr. Mime was super friendly and hard working so he never questioned replacing him for someone else.

The walk through the forest was slow and exhausting but he had no place to sit down and rest without bugs crawling all over him. And no matter how much he loved Pokemon, there were some pretty bug types… well I don't think anyone was up for that. His feet dragged through the long grass as he made his way through with Ivysaur dragging behind him. His hands held firmly onto his backpacks straps and his friend was getting tired with his small feet to the point where he wanted to go back into his pokeball and rest. And ivysaur never liked his pokeball. Not many do.

The walk was cut short and both of them quit their sulking as the ruffle of something big was walking through the bushes.

"Back!" Marco quietly whisper yelled to Ivysaur. The pokemon looked up at his friend and nodded as they both ran behind a thick tree. The steps slowly moved closer. It was big, whatever it was. Didn't seem too heavy as its steps were light and just rustled the grass it walked on. But the shadow Marco saw as he peered around the trunk was large enough to be something like an Arcanine! At least in height. Around 6 foot no doubt about it!

Though after a bit of waiting and reading to attack it made a sound. A small grunt. That was no pokemon… The 'pokemon' mumbled "ow-" and continued to mutter small curses under its breath. You idiot Marco! It was probably a trainer or something! A bird watcher. A bug catcher. It could have been anything. Why did you assume a pokemon?! Now if he sees you you'll look like a creep. Hiding behind a tree and stalking him. He leaned up against the trunk with a groan, one that ivysaur followed with his own small groan in defeat.

The voices caused the man to turn his head towards them and tilt his head. "Hello? Is someone there?" That voice. Marco feels as if he's heard it before. From somewhere. Of course he has! Just where… "For the love of Moltres i'm going insane aren't I-" Stupid curses and a voice he couldn't forget. The excitement Marco felt left a huge stupid grin on his face. Ivysaur just stared at him in question, not quite familiar with the voice himself. Though Marco ran around the tree, pausing to make sure it was him.

Jean Kirstein looked up at him with a lost look on his face as to why someone just jumped out from behind a tree. But the moment he saw his best friend the two of them ran towards each other with a stupid smile of their face. Marco practically jumped into Jean's arms, catching him before he could topple over onto the ground. They both laughed and hugged each other tightly as their pokemon realized each other as well. Wartortle immediately ran and picked up Ivysaur to embrace him in a similar way.

"Marco! It's been so long, what the hell man?! We were meant to meet up years ago!" Jean shouted. The words he said were strict and hurt but his wide smile forced out all the joy that ran through him. "I know I know I'm sorry but I'm just so happy to see you so I don't care!" Marco's reply only made his friend laugh in response. He didn't have to say a word for him to say he felt the same.

Sure Marco never ended up meeting him when they planned two years ago but he wasn't the type to ditch him like that. He knew Marco and even if it's been some time Marco would never stand someone up. He probably forgot like the goof he is or had other plans. Though forgetting was definitely what happened. He didn't remember till like a month later when Jean would have already left the town they planned on meeting in. Bummer but it was fine. At least they bad each other's phone numbers. They never communicated but they knew they could if they wanted to.

Marco could feel the small bit of flush that dusted his cheeks as Jean almost lifted him off his feet. "Oh!" Marco spoke, turning to look at their pokemon who were sitting in the grass and playing with some flower petals. "What kind of pokemon did you end up catching?! We could even battle later if you want!" He spoke as he turned back to his friend. The idea made Jean grin, having that cockiness that he knew had way too much confidence then it needed. "Sure you're up to be beaten?" "Take out your pokemon and let's see!" Marco didn't care much about the fight that Jean wanted to impress his friend with. But he knew by the way Marco was almost bouncing that he wanted to see his pokemon badly. Marco was never into the battling part of pokemon. He just loved how beautiful and cool they were.

"Alright alright don't piss yourself puppy!" The name was obviously a friendly tease , saying he gets excited like a little puppy but it made Marco blush and stop bouncing. His wide excited smile slowly faded to more of a flustered one, turning his head for a bit to try and act less excited. Though the second Jean took the pokeballs off his belt Marco looked back again, the excited smile back from before.

Jean held out all six of his pokeballs out at once, three in each hand. "Come on guys, act good for an old friend!" The comment made Marco chuckle as he watched the pokemon come out. Beedrill, Abra, Jolteon. Oh! A Tauros! And… a lickitung?

"He uh…" Jean noticed the questionable stare on Marco as he stared at the pink fella. He just sat in the grass with his tongue laying flat on the ground. "He followed me everywhere I couldn't get rid of him so I guess he's here now-" Marco laughed at what Jean said, the sweet smile making Jean smile as well. "Well he's very handsome. Just not sure if he'd be the strongest." "Trust me that tongue can do some things." Jean paused after his words, taking a moment to process what he just said. "Wait, not like that-!" The boy held his hands out in front of him, the freckled ones grabbing them and pulling them down. "Well I didn't think it till you said it!" Jean cursed in response, getting another light giggle out of Marco.

"God you've grown so much... You're still so tall what the fuck man?" Jean asked and seemed genuinely wondering. Marco simply shrugged at him and came in a little closer. Jean's cheeks flushed the way Marco's did earlier and resisted the urge to pull away from him. "Well…" Marco spoke quietly. "You have a very nice Tauros." Jean was snapped out of his daze, blinking a couple times as he looked up to see the practical beast. "Yeah…shit we should get out of the forest-" Marco smiled at Jean's words, pulling one of his hands away from his friend and grabbing the other tighter to drag him off through the woods. "I know a good clearing!!"

As they ran there pokemon looked up in confusion to the sudden burst in energy and ran after them. Ivysaur and Wartortle ran up ahead to meet up with their trainers to run beside them. Jean stumbled as he ran and struggled to match his speed but the moment he did he just looked up to see Marco's adorable smile looking forwards as he awaited the stories to come.
