Prologue

-Something Other than Bodies-

"How are you? Are you sure, you're alright. Maybe I shouldn't have went in today. I can still come back."

"I'm fine, you left, like, 30 minutes ago. It's not like I'm going to have a heart attack or something, it's just a cold."

"Yeah, but still..."

"I'm fine Lou-" Harry was cut off by loud sound that resembled a mix between a sneeze, a cough, and choking. Immediately, he felt a pain in his chest and groaned loudly as he sunk into the pillow case.

He didn't usually get this sick, not even in the Winter, he visited the doctor regularly and had no allergies. But this was the third day he was ill, and one he was feeling "better" on none the less.

"Oh, babe. That's it, I'm coming back, I just have to grab my keys..."

"No, Lou- kchoi! Don't, you've been out for too long, you might get fired."

"1. I've only been gone for two days 2. I'm the CEO. I fire, not them 3.You sound like the equivalent of a dying llama that ate at bad Mexican restaurant, and had just completed his bucket list that composed of eating unnatural amounts of soap and salt.

"Louis..." Harry started. "And-" Louis cut him off, he wasn't letting Harry get past him this time. Somehow he had convinced Louis into going to work today, and that he was fine on his own. But Louis could see past his façade.

"4th and foremost, you can not stop me. My love for you will overpower all possible reasoning you could try and give me, so my mind is made up. I will love and care for you while you are ill, like it or not." He stated sternly.

Louis was worried about Harry, he knew how he would always try to take care of people, which wasn't a problem, it was one of the things he loved most about him. It was just that Harry wouldn't accept any form of help whatsoever, not out of pride, but because he was so kind, and didn't want to trouble anyone.

"Fine, but you have to pro-" A large amount of coughing was heard through the speaker of Louis' cellphone, which only deepened his concern. "Promise that you'll go to work at least once this week." Harry pleaded from the other end.

"I promise, but only if you're well enough to stay on your own."

"I'm fine now! You just always think any illness I manage to contract is the plague!" Harry went into another coughing fit, and had to agree with what Louis had said before, he sounded terrible, and he felt a lot like he sounded.

Louis had made it back to their apartment in 20 minutes. He would have made it sooner, but he stopped by the store to grab some extra tissues, chocolate, and other things Harry would need. When he opened the door to the master bedroom, he found Harry-surrounded by litters of Kleenex's with the comforter tugged around him.

Harry noticed his presence, and waved a weak hand at him. "Hi." Harry started coughing, and Louis noticed how violently he shook as he continued the involuntary action. Harry laid down onto the bed with a sigh.

"Ugh, I feel like my body is dying." Harry said, annoyed. Louis walked towards Harry and sat on the edge of the bed. "Aww, Babe, it is, it always is, yours is just dying a lot faster today." Harry kicked Louis in the hip, still lying on his back. "That doesn't make me feel any better, worse possibly." Harry stated in a hoarse and stuffed voice. Harry obviously didn't feel well and Louis wasn't helping with his talks about the 'inevitable' and 'life' and...ugh. All he really wanted to do was sleep.

"You didn't let me finish," Louis complained.

"Fine. Continue."

"I'm dying too, slowly, yes. So I came to die with you, because I die faster without you."

"So you came to save yourself," Harry stated bluntly.

Harry suddenly felt a weight on his body and arms around him. "Yes, I will steal your life essence and continue as a rogue. Living wild and taking more life, you are not the first." Then Louis pulled Harry on top of him. "Louis, I will cut you to pieces and hide the evidence so well, that they cuff the cat, if you do not release me." Harry started cough violently, once again. And Louis let him go, and began to rub his back. "Love, you're hacking something other than bodies." Louis said, jokingly.

They had eventually decided to watch Supernatural on Netflix. It was much later now, and Harry had fallen asleep on the lap of Louis, who was still awake. He had made it to Season 3, and Sam had just made a decision that was surprising. Louis' thoughts drifted to how much simpler things were in Season 1.

He looked down and noticed Harry sleeping, red nosed with slightly parted lips.

Louis smiled to himself, Harry needed sleep. He must have been exhausted, Louis knew he wasn't used to being ill. So when he was, he extruded sick, mucus and all.

Louis lifted Harry's head slowly, and moved from beneath him. He laid him back down on one of the fluffy green pillows, and placed the comforter around him.

He though back to when they had bought those pillows.

It was after Louis had finally convinced Harry that they should move in together. It took a bit of time to do so because Harry, being himself, was trying not to be a bother, which Louis never thought he was. However, Harry only agreed if he could pay for his own items, when they went shopping for the place.

Somehow, Harry had convinced him that the neon green balls of fluff would be much better than normal pillows. But Louis loved the fact that Harry was participating, instead of worrying about if he was troubling others. So he had agreed to it as long as they paid for them together.

"Okay, but only because they're so soft."

"I'm not sure they're soft enough for me." Louis said, petting the item.

"How dare you, sir!" Harry held his pillow defensively, a shocked expression on his face.

"They are like a ball of adorable fluffy seal pups. Seal pups that had found a bunch of pickles and ate so many that they turned bright green."

"I don't know, I could just cuddle you if I wanted something soft and adorable." Louis looked at him with a smile spreading on his face.

Harry turned a shade of light rose, "Stop being so romantic," he said and threw the pillow at him. " I can't help it, babe," Louis said, shrugging his shoulders, "even that pillow is falling for me!"

Harry rolled his eyes, and laughed "Obviously."

Louis smiled to himself, remembering the precious moment. He cared about Harry dearly, and would do almost anything for him. He placed a soft kiss on his forehead, and left to change into his pajamas.

Hi, this is the first story I've written, so sorry if it plays out a little weird.

I will try to update regularly, two a week, if possible. I like Tuesdays and Fridays. Or maybe Mondays and Saturdays, I'm not sure yet.

I've been so excited to write! I hope you all enjoy this story!

What do you think of Louis and Harry's relationship?

Do you like fluffy pillows?

What's your opinion on trains?
