Chapter One

-Wax On, Wax Off-

"I think I'll just go out a bit today."

"Are you sure your fine?" Louis was buttoning his shirt as he walked out of the bathroom. Louis had to work today, Harry's "cold" had lasted a whole week, and he was with him the entire time. Which left Louis behind on a lot, but he wouldn't tell Harry that. If he had known that Louis behind on work because he was caring for him, he wouldn't allow him to do anything for him. Plus, Harry was becoming more lenient, recently and he didn't want to ruin that.

"Yeah," Harry said, the enthusiasm apparent in his voice "I feel great." Harry was excited because he could finally get out of the apartment, and continue his hobby: Photography. And he was dying to go outside, after nearly dying indoors for a whole week. He was afraid that if he had to stay inside another day, he might start eating the cats.

"Okay, call me if you need anything. I'll be home a little later today, I have some extra meetings.""Okay, I'm just running some errands. So everything should be fine." "Errands?" "Yeah, errands." Harry repeated. "Bleh, errands," Louis said with a look of disgust on his face.

Harry laughed, "What's wrong with me going out to do a few things? I have a right to a life." "Nothing at all," Louis stated bluntly and crossed his arms. "I just don't like the word," Louis made a contorted face "errands."

Harry laughed again, "Why not, its just...errands." Louis cringed as the word escaped his lips. "Yeah, but it's just sounds so...weird. It doesn't even sound like it correlates with its definition. Like a type of cucumber, or a laser, or something. It's suspicious." Louis squinted his eyes when he said the word suspicious. Harry watched Louis as he rambled on theories about the strange word. And before Louis could finish, said "You're so weird," with a smile. "I know," Louis walked towards Harry and grabbed his hand. "but that's why you love me."

Harry kissed Louis on the cheek "Yeah, it is."

After Louis had left, Harry thought about what he need to do today.

Cat Food

Deadlines

Salon

Gifts

They were running out of cat food, he needed to get a gift for Evan's birthday, and he had deadlines to meet for his photojournalism.

Louis was unaware of the fact that Harry had a job, he always wanted to care for him using what he had. But Harry didn't like the thought of using something of someone else, especially money. So, after they had moved in together, Harry used his skills to get a job he thought he would like, and 2 1/2 years later, he was known for his photos. However, it was under an alias, he didn't want to hurt Louis' feelings by making him think that he didn't feel safe or secure with him.

Harry didn't feel like working, but he did feel like taking pictures, however. So he decided to do a few candid shots for nothing in particular, plus it was kind of a really nice day. Partially cloudy, comfortable temperature, and people. People everywhere. He liked taking pictures of nature and landscape photography. But loved to take pictures of people the most. It was their actions, and expressions that he enjoyed about it, but there was something else that Harry couldn't quite put his finger on. He just felt happy around them.

He grabbed his Canon from it's shelf in the closet, a few lenses, and his wallet then put them in his backpack. He went downstairs and Barnaby meowed at him "Not today, I have a few other things to do."

Barnabas was a Russian Blue that Harry had since he was 16, his mentor had given him to him as a congratulatory present, for winning a photo contest. Sometimes, Harry would have him accompany him if he were going to the park or to the local café that allowed cats. But he had some things to take care of as well.
