Chapter 18 SCARIER THAN THE DEVIL

Greg POV

Suddenly I can hear they're arguing on the living room. We make our way to the living room. When suddenly Alex stops me.

"She can stand for herself you know! She doesn't always need someone to help her!" Alex says softly.

"Did you know that he cheated on me, dad?" Faye says coldly.

"But you already even the score by cheating with Greg! It's time for you to grow up and try to make your marriage works!" Her dad keeps pressing.

"Howard, she a smart girl. She can make her own decision. Can we not talk about this now? I miss my daughter." Mrs. Stuart finally cuts the arguments.

I cannot stand it I don't want her dad to keep on pressing her to go back with Jeremy. Her dad didn't know shit about what he did to her. But Faye already made me promised not to tell her dad. An idea suddenly pops into my head.

"Alex, will you follow me to my office?" I motion may head for him to follow me.

He just nods and his cold demeanor is back when he hears the arguments.

"What is it?" He asks coldly.

"Faye made me promised never to tell your dad about this. But I think you should know about this." I say carefully.

I open my safe and put a file in front of him. He takes it and read it slowly, his face is slowly showing a murderous look.

"FUCK!" He growls slamming his fist on my desk.

"Why she didn't call me? Why the hell you kept something like this from me? You should've call me Greg. That's my baby sister for God sakes!" His face contorts with anger.

"I'm truly sorry, but I was busy saving her life and after that making sure she gets all therapy sessions needed. What you see now, is the best version of her in weeks." I say with a slight sarcasm.

"GOD DAMN IT!" He curses again.

"I cannot do anything! Faye made me promise not to do anything. When she says not to tell your parents, she didn't mention you. So I didn't break any promises telling you this now. I already told Jeremy, if he sets a foot anywhere near her, I will send him to jail. That's why he didn't think twice to sign the divorce papers. But if your dad keeps pressuring Felicity to take him back, I will not hesitate to file this to the police and have him arrested. Even if it means I have to break a few promises."

"Fuck this! Leave these matters to me. I will deal with our parents and then I will make sure that bastard pay his crime for what he did to Felice. Can I have this file?" Alex asks.

"I have the original somewhere safe." I reply.

"I need to go now, I think I have some dirt that needs to be removed." Alex says coldly, his dark aura is back.

I've heard rumors that Alex is cold hearted son-of-bitch. He has no mercy when it comes to business related. He treats women like a disposable toy and yet women keep on coming after him. Well he's a good looking man and he comes from a very wealthy family. But I always see him as a warm personality, because every time I saw him is when I'm with Faye. And he loves his little sister so much, always showering her with all his attention whenever his back home on holiday from the college.

Alex stands to walk out of my office and I follow him. As I'm about to close my office he stops, turns to look me in the eye and says.

"I love you like a brother, but if you hurt her, you'll suffer the same fate as this piece of shit!" He says with a piercing ice cold stare. So much for a brotherly love huh?!

"I'll kill myself before I hurt her." I say. I'm not scared of him. His loyal to the one he loves, just like Faye.

"Yeah, make sure of that!" He turns and walks away.

Felicity POV

I see Alex comes out from Greg's office. Both of them look tense, especially Alex. I've bet he's grilling Greg before he's approving our relationship. Alex is always taking care of me, but he can be a little bit overprotective sometimes. It is difficult to grow up with him as a big brother, he's the good looking one in our family. He is also excel in sport and academically. The number of girls getting friendly with me just to get to Alex is uncountable, seems like all the girl had a crush on him. I can't never have a true girlfriend because of Alex. That is why I'm so comfortable being friends with Greg. He wants to be friend with me because of me. Well that's until he hits puberty and turns out he just like Alex. But it's easier because we've been friend years before. And I thank Alex, for all the practice he's given me dealing with a girl crush. Hahaha.

"Mom, dad, I need to go home now. Do you want to stay or come with me? I'll drop you guys at home first." He says.

"Do you need to go to work now Alex? I still miss you!" I pout.

Suddenly he pulls me closer and hug me tight.

"I'm sorry Felice, for not being there for you!" He says softly in my ear. He let go of his hug and put his forehead against mine.

"You know I love you so much, right?" Alex asks me.

"Of course you silly. Let get together more often, okay?! Promise me!" I says, I really do love and miss my big brother.

"You and your silly promises!" He says sighing. He kisses my cheek.

"Mom, dad, are you coming or not?" He says don't even bother to look back as he walks out.

"Bye dear!" My mom hugs me tight.

"I will support you, whatever it is you decided, okay? Think about it carefully before you make any decision!" My mom whispers in my ear. I tighten the hug and let go.

My father just walks pass me and go to their car. It's okay, I don't blame him. He didn't know anything and I want to spare my parents from the gruesome details. I know that my dad loves me. But he is the kind of parent who never spoil their children. We learn to do what's right, work hard and to try our best. He's a great role model. He will never say yes, because we want something, if it's unnecessary or not right he won't hesitate to say no.

I can feel Greg coming closer to me, and he then he put his arms around me hugging me from behind. I kiss his hand and turn around so I can face him. I kiss his lips, take his hand and taking him back inside our home. Yes I finally can feel and call this as our home. Home is the place where you feel safe and happy. Home is wherever Greg is, because he's my everything.

"Babe, do you want to stay with me in our bedroom?" He asks me.

"I thought you never asked." I bat my lashes and he laugh so hard his body shakes.

Suddenly he lifts me and takes me to our room bridal style.

"Don't you dare let me go!"

"Darling, I will never let you go." He says as he kisses me.
