Beeeeeep, beeeeeep, beeeeeep!! I really need to get a new alarm clock, I thought to myself. Slamming my hand on the clock, I made the annoying noise go away. I groaned and threw the covers off of my legs and forced myself into the sitting position.

I eventually got up and slowly made my way to the bathroom. My brain doesn't usually check in until around 10:00am, lucky for me it's only 6:07am! I continued my getting ready for the day routine. Brush my teeth, leave my brown hair down not doing anything with it. Put on some mascara, foundation and lipstick and head back into my room.

I open up my closet and scan the clothes messily displayed infront of me. What to wear, oh what to wear? Slipping on a hoodie and sweatpants I decided that I would have a lazy day. I quietly tiptoed my way down the stairs, trying not to wake my most likely drunk dad. Most of the times he leaves me alone, but sometimes he screams at me or beats me so I would rather not take any chances. My dad doesn't really keep any food in the fridge so I normally have to eat out for most of my meals. Luckily I live right around the corner from Tim's to grab some breakfast.

By now it was approximatley 7:10, thirty five more minutes until I meet up with Clayton to walk to school. I slipped on my runners and quietly opened up my front door, surprisingly my dad heard the door and bellowed,

"Scarlett, where the hell do you think you're going?!"

I slammed the door shut and sprinted all the way to Tim Hortons. My dad doesn't care enough to chase me down the street or go out looking for me. I don't mind though sometimes its nice to be left alone, sometimes...

I ordered myself a plain bagel, and medium tea (I'm not to fond of coffee). Finishing the last bite of my bagel I pull out my phone to check the time. It read 7:41, time to meet up with Clayton. I scooped up my backpack threw out my garbage and made my way out the door. Clay's house is around 3 blocks away from tims, if I walk fast enough then I will be able to make it there in time for 7:45.

Sticking my earbuds in my ears, I played my favourite song. I'm more into the Rock music then the crap music they play on the radio these days. The chorus is my favourite part of the song.

~If today was your last day~

~And tomorrow was to late~

~Would you say goodbye to yesterday?~

~Would you live each moment like your last?~

~Leave old pictures in the past~

~Donate every dime you have?~

~Would you call old friends you never see?~

~Remenisce old memories~

~Would you forgive your enemies?~

~Would you find that one you're dreamin' of?~

~Swear up and down to god above~

~That you finally fall in love~

~If today was your last day...~

By now I could see Clayton standing at the edge of the driveway. I took out my ear buds and started to jog towards him. He turned so that he was facing me and smiled.

"Hey, stranger!"

"Oh, no Scarlett! You are mistaken, my name isn't 'stranger' its Clayton!" he beams

"Ha, Ha, very funny!"

"I try to be," he smirks at me.

I just roll my eyes even though his smirks are very cute. Clayton checks his watch.

"We should probably get going Scar, your goody two shoes self wouldn't want to be late for class, would you?"

Clayton turns his back to me and starts to walk to school, I speed walk after him.

"I am not a goody toe shoes! And maybe try checking your phone for the time instead of your watch, you look like you are from the early 1900s!"

"Ouch that almost hurt my feelings." he puts a hand over his heart, mocking me.

"Whatever," I retort.

"Sassy, now are we?" Clay mocks... again

"Yes, very."

"That's to bad you wouldn't want someone to punish you for your actions now would you?"

"Punish me for my...wha-"

Before I can finish my sentence Clayton scoops me up and throws me over his left shoulder.

"Clayton! Clayton put me downnn!" I shriek

"No way princess! I need to teach you a lesson!"

"Seriously clayton put me down now!"

I could feel my shirt starting to slide upwards, crap he's going to see my bruises! Please don't see them please don't see them.

"I'm not putting you down until you say please!"

Good, he hasn't noticed them yet.

"Please!"

"Sorry what was that?"

"I said, PLEASE!"

Finally Clayton put me down.

"Thank you."

"Your most welcome!"

"God you are annoying!"

"But you love me!" Clayton smiles

"Yeah, yeah whatever!"

"So Scar, what time is it?" Clay smirks

"Shoot! It's 8:05 we are already late!"

"Well lets get going then!"

Clayton takes off sprinting and I follow. God I love him, if only he knew, I shake the thought out of my head and continuing running.
