The dangers

Cole and Kai run through the forest towards the sounds of a destressed horse which makes Cole speed up.

"Gonna explain why he hates everyone ?" Kai asks when Cole looks back at him "it's hard to talk about" Cole mumbles as they slow down a bit.

"Rocky had a brother, they where both  sold before I got Rocky... To a man that abused him, really bad, to the point where he was hanging on the edge of his life and his brother was killed by the man"  Cole mumbles as he bites his lip.

"When my mother found out, she went and stole Rocky from the man, she brought him home where, I was tasked with trying to help him heal" Cole looks at Kai seeing his sad look.

"When he trusted me enough, we raced against my mother and won" a small smile forms across Cole's face as he speaks. "Rocky is now protective of those he loves, making sure they don't share the same fate as he and his bother did"

Cole goes quiet when he hears a girl's scream of pain, both, Kai and Cole stops to see Skylar on the floor trying to catch her breath as a raging horse kicks and stomps his hooves trying to hit the other attacker.

Kai watches in shock as Cole whistles on the horse, making Rocky neigh at him and run at him. "Hi boy" Cole whispers out as the horse huffs in his face making Cole laugh.

Morro looks up at Kai in shock "you told him?!" Morro hisses out as Kai grabs Coles hand "I told you not to" Kai growls back as Cole looks at him in complete shock, Morro glares at the two love birds. Cole glares back at Morro "what do you want with my horse?" Cole growls out as the ground shakes a small bit at Cole's anger. 

Kai looks at Cole in worry as he feels Cole's hand heat up, Rocky nudges Cole, making the earth controller snap his gaze away from the wind controller. Rocky stomps his hooves against the ground kicking up dirt which makes Cole sigh. "Sorry boy".

"We were going to sell the horse to a man named Vangelis" Skylar says in fear as she watches the horse pace around angrily as Cole's eyes widen at the name, "Lets go" Cole says as he grabs Rocky and Kai leads them both back to the high school as Rocky huffs. 

Kai watches "Who is that they were talking about?" and Cole sighs softly and bites his lip. "He was the one that abused Rocky. He's always wanted the offspring of the prize wining Firstbourne and the Grief-Bringer"  Cole says as Rocky reels up and neighs again .

 "Who's the Firstbourne?" "The Firstbourne was a racing horse, ridden by her rider, The First Master. The Firstbourne won many races, until she was forced into retirement, that's when she had Rocky"  the said horse loudly neighs at his name as he walks beside his master, while watching the boy in red, closely.

Cole smiles as he looks at the horse "God, knows what I would do without my dust bringer" Cole says making the horse neigh "dust bringer?" Kai asks and he tilts his head confused "I'm thinking about race names for him, it's hard" Cole says as he pets his horse.

"Think I could do horse racing?" "Maybe, it takes a lot of time" Kai smiles as he pulls Cole close to him as Rocky stares at them then huffs as he nudges Cole into Kai making him smile. "I think he's saying he likes you" Cole whispers out as he kisses Kai's cheek, which Kai mumbles "Want to come to my room?" "Sure sure".
