"Dreams deferred dreams are gone"

{Senoj's POV}

I opened my eyes breathing in the warm air. I could feel it, all the heat on my skin. It felt good it felt different.

I looked to my left seeing the man from the church. He was driving while talking to someone on his phone. It seemed as if he was having a deep conversation.

I sat up in my seat looking at my surroundings. We were someplace that I had never been, a place I'd never seen. It was a nice middle-class neighborhood with big tree's in each yard.

"You okay?" The man asked looking at me.

"Yeah, um you can just drop me off anywhere," I said focusing my attention out the window.

"We ain't just gone drop you off nowhere ma," the guy in the back seat said leaning foward.

"Look I just don't want to be a bother," I said sighing.

We pulled into a house that stood at two stories high. It was a brick house with a two car garage and a big yard.

I sat there staring at the house in awe. Never have I been to such a huge house.

My door opened and the guy from the back seat stood there with his hands held out.

I took his hand as he helped me down from the big truck. We started toward the house in silence. I could see the guy that was driving unlocking the front door.

As we stepped into the house I gasped at how beautiful it really was.

It was decorated in dark and light browns. The furniture looking as if it had come straight out a magizine.

I followed the guy that helped me out the truck. He seemed to be the nicest of the two. He looked very young but I really couldn't estimate his age.

We made it to what had to be the kitchen. I took a seat on the stool in front of the island that sat in the middle of the kitchen.

"You hungry?" He asked opening the fridge.

I nodded my head as he closed the door.

He pulled his phone out quickly putting it to his ear.

"Hello...yes...I would like to order two...just a pepperoni and a cheese...Harvard Ave...3226...yeah that's fine..."

After he hung up the phone he pulled up a chair next to mine sitting close.

"So what's your name?" He asked.

"What's yours?" I asked not really wanting to tell him my name. I mean what if he decided to look me up. All he would find was my arrest record for stealing food and me having been from foster home to foster home all my life.

"I believe I asked first," he said chuckling.

"So!" I said rolling my eyes "ion have to tell you nun of my business".

He held up his hands in surender "ight, ight you don't have to tell me. I just wanted to know ya name".

We sat in silence for a long time until the doorbell rang. I jumped from the loud ringing surprised by the noise.

The guy chuckled glancing at me and exited the kitchen.

He soon returned with two boxes of hot pizza in his hands.

"Aye YO AKIMED THE FOODS HERE!" he yelled.

He pulled out three plates and three cups sitting them next to the boxes of pizza.
