It was the 1st day of my Senior HighSchool. I was returning to school after a long one-month session break. As soon as I entered the school, I saw my friends Ae Ri and Hyun Jae waiting there for me. As soon as they saw me they came running towards me and hugged me tightly.
"It's been so long girl! How have you been?"- said Jae while on the other hand, Ri was busy touching my face. I rolled my eyes and told her"Can you stop touching my face like that ffs Ri?". She immediately removed her hands and told me"Damn girl how did u get such smooth and shiny skin within a month OH MY GOSH!!".
I told her that she was just overreacting and that it was nothing much. "My skin started to get so dried up that I had to start applying cream daily and that's why my skin became so soft and plump". We walked over to the office while talking to each other and collected our respective class sheets [a sheet where the class no. (section) and schedule for the day is mentioned]. We found out that we were all in the same class again! This is the 3rd time we have been together, and this meant more time for us to tease each other.
We were in Class-1. After we reached our classroom and chose our seats and caught up on what we had been doing in the past month the bell for the class assembly rang. Our class teacher Mrs. Hee came in and switched on the TV and the face of our principal popped up. He is the most disgusting person you can ever meet.
He comes up with the most random and weirdest kinds of ideas and it's not just the students even some of the teachers hate him for his weird behavior too. He gave us a motivational speech just like he does at the beginning of every new session and then our first period began. We had Math for the first period and our class teacher Mrs. Hee was our Math teacher. She seemed like a nice person.
The first class passed by smoothly. The second period was co-curricular and I had chosen music for my co-curricular subject. As soon as I entered the music room I was greeted by a tall handsome boy. I read his nameplate to find out that his name was Hwang Hyunjin and he was my sunbaenim.

He was our music teacher's favorite student and on top of that the best student in the class. He introduced himself and asked me to sit beside him and I agreed. When our music teacher Ms. Yun came in she took the class attendance first and welcomed the new batch.
We just practiced our vocal skills since it was just the first day. When the teacher asked me to sing a song, I sang the song named 𝓛𝓲𝓽𝓽𝓵𝓮 𝓢𝓽𝓪𝓻 and she was flattered by my voice and told me that I have an angelic voice and that I should take good care of it as only a few people on earth have this god gifted talent. Hyunjin was shaken after he heard me sing, he knew it very well that there was now gonna be a fair competition between the two of us.
The day passed by quickly. After I reached home I freshened up and called Jae and Ri to tell them what happened in the music class today. They were laughing at the incident and then we went on with our usual trash talk. "Btw guys I came across this damn hot guy named Lee Minho in my dance class. He looks so cute and I have absolutely fallen for him!"- Jae exclaimed. We then hung up the call as Jae and Ri both had nosey moms so it was more comfortable for them to text instead.
After 5 minutes Jae sent this picture to our group

The week escalated by quickly it was the same routine every day, school, chill, homework, sleep.
The next week during the music class we were informed about the school's yearly Senior v/s Junior Music Competition and that the competitors for this year were me and Hyunjin sunbaenim.
After listening to the teacher's announcement Hyunjin walked up to me and said "Well I know that I'm gonna win again, I've been on a winning streak for the past 3 years so good luck" "Don't think too highly of yourself we'll see who's winning streak breaks and whose winning streak starts on the day of the competition"- I said with a smirk, and then we both returned to our seats.
We were excused from all the classes for a week since we had to practice for the competition. I'd spend the entire day singing and practicing my vocals. I knew that he was the best in the class but I was no less and that I will win against him.
