When Colby's alarm went off Monday morning, he spent a few moments just ignoring it before he flipped it to snooze with a vengeance. God, why had he decided that this was a good idea?
Until his alarm went off again and Colby pulled his phone to him to see the text message from Brennen that he would be heading over soon.
Right. Right, he was going hiking with Brennen today, right.
"So it's a longer trail right? Like up into the mountains and there's supposed to be this waterfall there that has this like, algae covered rock you can slide down," Brennen's eyes were alight with excitement. They were still curled up in his bed later that afternoon. "Jake and I were gonna go, but he had something come up so, like..." His voice turned shy here, "If you wanna come?"
Colby nodded, feeling a soft smile on his face, "Yeah, that sounds like that would be a lot of fun." A trip into the woods with Brennen, a waterfall with a nature made slide? Sounded fantastic.
"It's a long hike, from what I read," Brennen said, and there was some warning in his voice. "Like, supposed to be like five hours if you don't stop."
Colby shrugged. "Okay, that's fine," he grinned, "Lets me get my steps in. 'Sides..." he pecked Brennen on the lips, "Could kinda be a date type thing."
Brennen's smile softened. "That sounds really nice, man." And the Chipotle was still settled comfortingly in his stomach, and Brennen's head was warm against his shoulder, so Colby didn't fight the way his eyes fell closed.
A nap with Brennen sounded fantastic right then.
He rolled over onto his back, turning his head to see the sun just barely peeking through his windows. Looks like he'd get to see the sunrise today.
He felt his stomach rumble, and then cramp, and he grimaced. Okay, apparently he needed breakfast. He sat up, stretching out his back and arms.
He felt just a little tight today.
His phone pinged with another text message, and he pulled the device towards him to see it.
I'm almost there. I brought food tho!
Colby grinned. The man knew the way to his heart. He stretched one more time, ignoring the way his morning wood pulled at his boxers, the low tingle of lust that itched just under his skin. He didn't have time for a leisurely jack off session this morning and he was pointedly ignoring the wet at his ass.
Besides, maybe he and Brennen could get some "alone time" while hiking...
OOO
It was probably the shortest rut Sam had on record.
When he woke up Monday morning the incessant burn of lust and energy under his skin was gone. He could smell Kat next to him, her scent sweet and even with sleep. His eyes traced over her sleeping form, draped lightly in the white sheets of the hotel room bed. Lust flared lightly in his gut, but it was more of a suggestion than a need.
Seemed like his rut was over. With that realization, heaviness sank into his gut.
He needed to get home and talk to Colby.
"Hey baby..." Kat rolled over, sleep still in her voice until she got eyes on him. She scented the air, and he watched everything register. She pulled in a breath before yawning out, "Time to go?"
"Sorry..." Sam said quietly. "I just... Colby..."
But Kat was already shaking her head. "It's okay..." she said sleepily, pecking a kiss on his arm before she rolled off the bed on the other side. "Colby's important... you guys need to talk." And he could hear no resentment in her voice.
