"They're here, the devils are here." Aiden muttered as a carriage pulled up between the lines of students standing in courtyard behind the Steward and his family. Mr. Sinclair stood motionless as the Emberspears disembarked from their carriage. A taller boy helped a short girl down (who seemed to be siblings) from the carriage and the two of them were immediately welcomed by Melody.

The Steward led the newly arrived family into the Academy as the throng of students followed Mr. Sinclair in, all muttering about the possible reason behind the sudden newcomers. Melody and the Emberspear siblings kept talking in sickly shrill voices that made Lilith's skin crawl. She averted her attention towards Nivia who was trying very hard not to seem bothered about the ruckus the other three were causing.

They had to pass by the four nobles as they headed back to their dorms and the Emberspears gave a subtle gasp when Lilith passed by. She was trying to avoid their eyes, but as luck would have it, they had spotted Laurina on her shoulder.

"Oh my goodness! That is one fine familiar!" The girl said in a sickly sweet voice. "What is their name? May I hold them?" She asked quickly, clapping her palms together.

"Laurina....and no." Lilith said sternly and she somehow felt satisfied when the smile on the girl's face fell. The boy cocked an eyebrow at her, completely foreign to the feeling of having a request rejected so flatly. Lilith marched off out of their line of vision just as the girl turned to whisper something to Melody.

"Spoilt brats." Eden said in an extremely disgusted tone. "I am done with them already and the event has barely begun."

"More....or more like everything else is yet to arrive." Aiden said with a sigh. The entire common room had broken into whispers. Some people were even swearing under their breaths complaining how this wasn't part of the plan and that it had increased their workload. Suddenly someone tugged at Lilith's sleeve. It was Melea.

"What is it Mel?" She asked the girl who looked at her with urgency.

"Allura, she's waiting outside, she'd like to tell you something." She said quickly and left through the common room, making Lilith scramble up on her feet and hurriedly follow behind her. Allura was waiting in the hallway and as soon as she saw Lilith she flew to her, her face etched into a look of concern.

"Those siblings, Rael and Riamon....stay aware of them." Allura said in a hushed voice. "You wouldn't want them near yourself or your friends....I have to leave or else it might seem suspicious." Allura said quickly before disappearing with a pop, and also just in time because the two of them could hear a clicking sound of heels against the polished stone.

Lilith stood frozen in the spot and Melea seemed to have lost senses in her legs. Rael Emberspear walked into the hallway and stared at the two girls.

"Oh hey! Dragon girl!" She said which caused Lilith to curse and scream internally. Melea turned and moved behind Lilith so that she could have the freedom to roll her eyes.

"My name, for your kind information, is not Dragon Girl." Lilith said calmly, although her insides were churning with hatred.

"Oh then what is it? And your....is she your friend?" Rael asked with a toothy grin.

'No, she is not my friend she's my spirit animal you absolute fool.' Melea thought and let out a deep sigh. "Yes, I am her friend." Melea spoke aloud. "She's Lilith, I am Melea. And...I believe you call yourself Rael?" She asked slowly.

"Oh yes, I am Rael." The girl said flipping her ebony hair over her shoulder. "My brother is Riamon. I need to go however, I hope we can be great friends!" Rael said and skipped off downstairs again.
