Tord opened up his laptop. He clicked on the news and read through the page. He saw his face on one of the websites, he clicked it. There was a knocking on the door.
"Come in!" He said.
"Tord! Your recent work went popular... again!" Matt cheered.
"Yeah, I just saw it," Tord chuckled, "A lot of critics are sayi-"
"NO! NO NEGATIVITY!" Matt closed the laptop, "We don't care what they say. You are an extremely good artist and your paintings are amazing but... you really need to sleep and clean up your studio! You smell of coffee and ramen cups. You also need to meet more people, and finally get a boyfriend after Adam since HIGHSCHOOL."
"I can clean my studio, I can sleep, I can go outside and have a meal but I am not going to get a boyfriend after Adam. I'll be single for the rest of my life, he was the shittiest boyfriend anyone could have. So now, I don't need one," Tord shrugged.
Matt and Tord headed to the studio. Matt gasped at the mess.
"THIS IS OUTRAGIOUS!" Matt screamed.
"You don't clean your own room, this can't be that bad," Tord chuckled.
He picked up the multiple empty tubes of paint from the floor and tossed them into the bin.
"Wow... but your art is beautiful, almost more beautiful than me. You know if you painted me-"
"Not happening soon, Mattress," Tord flicked Matt's forehead, earning a whine.
Tord sighed.
"What's wrong?" The Brit asked.
"It's just- there's something missing," Tord looked at his recent work, "... And everyone knows too."
"What could that be?" Matt also looked at the painting of the flower field.
"It's not... alive enough," Tord said, "It's not meant to be abstract but it is, I need it to be realistic. I need more realism and less... unknown space- WHAT THE HELL IS THAT-" Tord kept finding mistakes in the painting.
"Realistic? It has plenty, what do you mean?" Matt scratched his head.
"It's okay, Matt. Thank you," Tord sighed.
*mini timeskip*Tord was outside. He had to cover up with a scarf and hat to prevent people from noticing him. It was stressful but he could handle it. He had come outside to look around. He was in the city where his apartment was nearby but he didn't know where to go. He glanced around as he walked around the sidewalk, seeing all the people around. He came to a stop at a nice looking café. He went inside.
He saw something familiar. It was one of his paintings he had sold! The owner must've put it up there. Tord blushed in embarrassment as he saw some mistakes. He took a look around and realized that there were tons of different artworks around. Fate had him stumble upon an art café. He saw many men and women is business outfits working. It was very calm and quiet.
"Hi, what can I get for you?" Asked the employee.
"I'd like a uhm... White what what?" Tord squinted to see the menu board above.
He forgot to wear lenses and forgot to bring glasses, what an idiot.
"White flat, sir?" The cashier asked.
"Yeah, I'll have that," Tord had no idea what he ordered.
A few minutes after, he got his drink and sat down at a window seat. He glanced outside as he sipped on his drink. He saw a store.
'That looks interesting.' Tord thought.
He squinted and read the name, a magic store. Tord hummed in interest.
Tord went out the store with his coffee, walking into the magic store. He heard a bell ring as he walked in. He browsed through some items:
A beautifing potion: makes you beautiful
A love potion: makes someone fall in love with you
Toxic concoction: some toxic stuff
Mumble Jumbles: if someone eats it, they won't stop talking
A child potion: turns someone into a child
And many many more wonderous things.
Tord found something that caught his eye. It was some sort of paint but Tord couldn't make out what kind. He saw many different colors. He had an idea. He bought two bottles each of red, blue, yellow, white and black. The bottles all had a litre of paint...
Tord sketched the canvas with his pencil. If his art was abstract, then abstract he'll draw. He sketched out a man. Tord thought. He gave eye sockets to the man's face shape, he erased the jawline and fixed it up. Tord stayed in his studio for the whole day, using up the paint bit by bit.
Tord sighed in satisfaction at the finished painting. He yawned and took off his glasses to rub his eye. The paint was very vibrant and was a nice hue, he had mixed most of the colors to create others. He fixed his glasses back on, and picked up the tube. Tord was confused.
"Lively Paint, after the paint has dried, it will come to life! Made in Magika? Where the hell is Magika? The effect of the paint is ever-lasting...," Tord continued reading the instructions when he heard something.
He snapped his head up and saw a strange man in front of him. He screamed.
"WH-WHO ARE YOU?!" Tord jumped off his stool and grabbed his paintbrush as a weapon.
"I-" The man looked as confused at Tord, "I DON'T KNOW!"
"Wh-where did you c-come from?"Tord asked.
The man pointed to the canvas. Tord gasped. It was empty.
"Wh-where did-" Tord dropped the paintbrush.
He picked up the canvas and then at the man.
The man had no eyes and brown hair. He wore a suit with a red flower in the pocket, he handled a bouquet of blue flowers. The man was as confused as ever.
"Wow... you literally came out of- this," Tord put the canvas down.
"Uhm... hi?" The man chuckled unsurely.
"Hello," Tord said, "It must be this paint. I didn't know the magic shop was actually... magical."
Tord looked at the empty bottles of the unworldly paint.
"So, what's your name?" Tord asked.
"I don't have one," The man shrugged.
"Oh,"
Tord motioned for the man to come to him.
"Do you know what a laptop is?" Tord asked.
"Well duh, I'm not a caveman," The man laughed.
"Well you came out of my creation, how am I supposed to know?"
"Fair enough,"
"Go ahead and uhm, look for stuff,"
"Sure thanks, what's your name?"
"Oh- I'm Tord,"
"Alright,"
Tord left the room. This was all surprising to him. He had no idea what to do. There was a handsome, unknown man in his studio. Great. It was 10pm and Tord couldn't call Matt over since it was his beauty sleep time. Tord went to his kitchen and went to get food. He heard the creaking of the chair. Tord turned around. It was the man sitting down on the chair with the laptop.
"Hey," The man said, "I decided a few things."
"What'd you decide?" Tord asked, taking out yesterday's pizza.
"That- my name will be Tom," He said.
"What came to you to decide that?" Tord asked.
"It felt right, I guess," Tom smiled.
Tord blushed at the smile. He didn't know his own painting could look so cute.
"Can I have some?" Tom asked.
"Sure, Tom," Tord placed some microwaved pizza on a plate and handed it to him.
"How old are you?" He asked.
"I'm most likely 23, this app told me," Tom said.
Tord glanced over.
"Cool, I'm 23 in a week," Tord said.
Tord sat down next to Tom and started eating his pizza.
*timeskip like- a few months*
Tord and Tom were roommates. Tord managed to persuade Matt that Tom wasn't in fact someone who's trying to take advantage of his fame and was his friend. Sometimes the two would fight over things but it would be resolved. Currently the two were seated on the couch watching a movie.
"Can you get more popcorn?" Tord asked.
His eyes were glued to the screen, a hand reaching to Tom with an empty bowl.
"Hell no," Tom stated.
Tord took his eyes off the tv and at Tom. He crawled over.
"What?" Tom groaned.
"Popcorn please," Tord smiled.
"Fine... you're lucky today," Tom got up and headed to the kitchen with the bowl.
Tord giggled.
Tom blushed and cursed as he shoved the bag of kernels into the microwave.
"If it weren't for that stupid face, I would've punched him," Tom whispered to himself.
He sighed and chugged down a glass of water. Tom thought of Tord. He was the best person to him. He had a nice smile. A cute pout. A scary but hot angry face. The habit of twirling his hair when thinking was adorable to him. Tom was also amazed by Tord's skills at art but Tom wasn't cut out for that. Tom jumped when he heard the knocking.
"It's Matt and Edd!" Tord yelled.
Tom was hoping to be alone with Tord. He was always jealous of Matt, he knew everything about Tord, more than Tom knew. The eyeless male swung open the door.
"Hey, guys...," Tom looked bored.
"Hey! We're here to talk to Tord about something," Matt said.
"Sure, come in," Tom let them in.
Tom watched as Matt and Edd talked to Tord. Edd had just recently become Tord's friend. Not long after Tom came to life. He was the one that managed to convince Matt, he was his boyfriend after all. Edd was an innocent adult that loved his friends and Matt. He would always bring gifts to Tord's house and the two were close. Tom rested against the table. He watched the bag of kernels spin around in the microwave and the occasional pop sound. Tom wanted Tord. He really did. He loved him with all his heart. Tom sighed and drank more water.
"Thank you so much, Tord! I'll see you later!" Edd and Matt stumbled through the apartment and dashed out the door.
Tom heard the microwave beep and turned it off. He poured the popcorn into the bowl, walking back to the sofa afterwards.
"Hey, why'd you turn the movie back on!" Tom sat down quickly.
"Oops, sorry," Tord giggled, "Popcorn!"
Tom handed Tord the bowl.
"What did the two need?" Tom asked.
"They just needed me to check on their apartment sometimes. They're going on holiday together as a date and won't be back for just four days," Tord shrugged.
Tom hummed.
It was time to go to bed. On special days, like when Tord was sad, Tord would come to Tom's room and cuddle. Tom always wanted to but of course, he didn't want Tord to get sad. So what if he was sad? That wasn't a complete lie. Tom got up from his bed, he was unable to sleep because he needed some sort of physical contact. He walked out his room, turning the AC off. He reached for Tord's room door when it opened itself. Tom froze and so did Tord. Tord had a blanket with him and so did Tom.
"Uh-" Tom cocked his head to the side.
"Hi," Tord said.
"Hey," Tom chuckled, "Can I come in?"
"Sure," Tord opened the door wide.Tord turned a little lamp on, so it wasn't so dark.
"Where were you going hmm?" Tom asked.
He smiled when Tord looked around the room and fiddled with his blanket.
"Water," Tord said.
"With a blanket?" Tom snickered.
"Okay, fine, I was going to go to your room. What about you then?"
"Oh- me uhm,"
"Were you coming to mine? You've never come before,"
"True, I haven't,"
Tord was standing and Tom was sitting down on the bed. The Norwegian walked over and flopped onto the other.
"I'm tired," Tord said.
"Alright," Tom chuckled.
The two moved around, positioning and moving to get comfortable. They faced each other and Tord wrapped his arms around the eyeless male.
"You know, Tord," Tom came closer and hugged the horn haired man.
Tord hummed.
"I love you," Tom stated.
"I think I love you too," Tord giggled.
The two were laughing quietly until they fell asleep.
