I woke to see Ashton tiredly looking at me with tired and worried eyes.
"You're awake!" He almost yelled. I rubbed my eyes. "Oww!" I screamed, but then I realized I got a black eye. A tear slowly started rolling down my right eye. Ashton wipes it lighty away. "You were out the whole night, but I checked your heartbeat a few times". "A few?!" Connor yelled from a far. "Dude, you checked her heartbeat for most of the night!" Ashton blushed. "Okay, okay. I did check your heartbeat a lot" he said embarrassingly. I gave him a hug, "I'm glad I have such good friends!" I said. "What happened when I passed out?" I asked. "Well, I beat the hell out of the guy that was choking you" he said. "After that we helped Tyler out too. I beat up one that was holding his arms. And then we got the rest of them." "Wow!" I said with surprise.
I checked my watch, it was 10:33am
"We should start moving out, maybe a different place to rest."
"Sure" Ashton said.
Once we got all our stuff together we started leaving. But before we left we heard sniffles. And we all heard them. We looked around.
We finally found a little girl in a corner crying. I walk closer and sit on my knees. "What's wrong?" I asked extra soft. "My mom and dad are scary" she whispered with her head still in between her knees.
"Well, what's your name?" I ask.
"My names Jasmine. Jasmine Stewart." She says.
