Deaths in Disguise

Benjamin's POV

"Done cleaning, Benjamin?"

"Yeah boss, floor's spotless."

"Good job, you can go back home now, sorry that you have to work overtime."

"Oh no worries, Freg, for the pizzeria right?"

"Yeah, for the pizzeria."

"I'm gonna put back the mop now."

"Okay, be careful."

As I walk my way to the janitor's closet, I heard some noises coming from my boss's office, Freg Walter, and I, Benjamin Krek, having a curious mind, took a peak at the office, what I've saw was the scariest thing I've ever saw. An "animatronic" suit covered in................ (Not appropriate for younger audiences, please stand by), screaming for help in pain and I stood there, having cold chills down my spine.

"Oh...so you found my secret, I'm disappointed. I already told you when you started working here, don't peep into my office and mind your own business, but you just have to peep at my 'project'. You were my favourite employee but now, you-"

I ran past my boss as fast as I can not even caring to hear what he's gonna do to me. I quickly started my car and drove away, as soon as I drove away, my son, Liam Krek started calling me.

"What's up lil' champ? Daddy's a bit of hurry."

"Hey Dad, I just wanna remind you that today's Mom's birthday."

"Oh yeah, I remember, I'll be back before you even know it alright lil' champ?"

"Okay Daddy, can I ask you a question?"

"Ask away."

"Why are you in a hurry?"

"Because it's your Mom's birthday, of course I want to hurry."

"Oh okay Daddy, goodbye."

"Goodbye lil' champ."

After that, I started to look around to see if I lost track of my boss, "Phew, guess I manage to escape-" Then, a car crashed into me from my left side. My car flew so high that I can see a little bit of where I live.

Unfortunately, my car landed upside down and my upper body was crushed. The last moment of my life was my boss walking towards my car and said, "You should've faced the consequences like a man, but you chose to run instead, now what did it cost you? Hahahahahahahaha!"

"Y-you will n-never g-get away......... m-my son w-will catch you, a-and lock you a-away from existence f-for g-good."

"Oh that brat? He's too young to do anything, I bet when he's older, he'll try to come for me, but who will help him? Your death will be forgotten, and what's the word that police say when they have nothing to investigate anymore? And that's case...closed hahahaha."

That was the last thing I heard before my death.

Liam's POV

"D-Dad? D-Dad, why aren't you waking up, c'mon wake up, you promised that you'll come home and celebrate Mom's birthday.......why did you leave us!"

The day of my Dad's funeral, he died before he could even celebrate my Mom's birthday, I never knew that him going to work was the last time I seen his face, my mother and I cried when we were at his funeral. All of my relatives and my Dad's friend came to his funeral too, my childhood friend was there since her father is my father's childhood friend too. Everyone said their final goodbyes to him, even his boss was here saying his goodbyes too.

Three days later, I got to see my Dad's crashed car at a car junkyard, the junkyard owner said that my Dad's car was crashed into another, but didn't have any trace of the other car. The police even searched high and low for the missing car but still haven't found it, they searched for so long that some of the policemen decided to give up searching it.

"Is finding the cause of my Dad's death that hard? Don't they have like a secret weapon and find it immediately or something?" I questioned myself, but that only happens in movie or any other fiction story. So I decided to take matters into my own hands, not knowing how difficult it was.

I started investigating using all of the detective movies that I can find in hopes of some tips that'll guide me to success, even if it's just a little bit. It's was late and eventually my eyes felt heavy and I fell asleep, that's where it all start, my strange nightmares.

"W-Where am I? What is this place? If I recall, I was watching detective movies and..... oh yeah, I fell asleep. But more importantly, where am I?"

"The voices...."

"W-What did I just hear? T-The voices? Who are you!"

"Behave, or we'll do things the hard way, you're afraid of scary things hiding in the dark right, if you don't behave, that things will come to you and eat you alive."

"W-W-W-Wha-" I almost cried and I was trembling with fear.

"Now, you'll do as I say alright?" The mysterious voice said.

"W-What are y-you gonna do to m-me?"

"Go to the police station, open up the file of the street, you'll find your first clue-"

As he was saying that, a monster came out of the dark and bit my head. That's when I woke up, my heart was pounding, it was 8 in the morning and my back was aching for the first time.

"That's what I get for sleeping in this uncomfortable desk. Ouch!" I said to myself.

"Morning, Liam. Oh my, are you watching movies this early? Detective-don't tell me you're gonna solve it yourself?"

"Yes, Mom. I'm gonna do it."

"I know how sudden it was, but are you sure about this? Won't you let the police do the job instead?"

"They've already given up, so I'm gonna take this matter into my own hands. Whoever takes my loved ones away from me...is gonna pay..." I said with a somewhat 'deep' voice, my throat hurted a bit.

I went to the police station just as what the "voice" told me, but it didn't give me enough information, what was the 'file of the street'? So I tried to figure it out while walking to the police station. When I arrived there, I still haven't figured it out, "Well, there's no turning back now."

I went inside and talked to the receptionist about the accident that caused the death of my Dad. Then, the receptionist walked me outside and to the left of the police station which is a small building, then the receptionist walked me inside and to the office of the detective who is solving my Dad's death......
