I came back home after a long day of 'work' and my mother started rushing towards me to hug me, "Mom? Why are you hugging me so tightly."

"Are you okay, Liam? I was so worried about you when I was saw your face in the news, you solved a murder case with a detective! I was so worried that my heart almost stopped! Please don't do that without my permission again. I don't want to lose you too-"

"Don't say that, Mom! I'm fine, look, I'm not hurt or anything."

I knew my mother was very worried about me when I do something that dangerous, endangering my life, but I think it's one step closer to become a detective.

"Oh yeah, Liam. What did the news mean by you're the detective's assistant huh?"

"Um, I-I can explain, Mom," and I did.

"You went to the police station just like you told me and you did what! You begged the detective to be his disciple? Liam! We don't have that much money, and is a detective's disciple even a thing?"

"M-Mom, the detective agreed so y-yeah?"

"We'll talked to the detective tomorrow for this matter."

And the next day, my mother DID went to my coach's office and discussed this whole disciple thing with him, of course I came with her.

"Hello, Jeffrey. It seems like my son became your disciple, which is nonsense, and why did you insisted that it's a good idea to drag my precious son into one of your 'work'?!"

  "Wait, Mom, you know coach?"

"Young Liam, please go outside, me and your mother will have some alone talk-"

"Oh no no no, you're staying here young man."

"Please Ms. Krek, this doesn't involve Liam."

"Oh yeah, it does," and my mother pulls out a handgun pointing towards my coach.

"Mom! What are you doing?! How did you have a gun!"

"It doesn't matter, Liam. He's ready for this to happen."

"Please put the gun away and let's just have a nice talk, okay?"

"Answer me this and I'll put it away, are you sure you want Liam to become your disciple knowing the risks?"

  "Yes, I'm sure."

"If something happens to Liam, you know what you're in for."

  "Yes ma'am."

  "What's the fee?"

  "What fee?"

"You know what I'm talking about."

"It's free of charge, I owe your husband a lot, so it's free."

"Coach, how did you two meet?"

"We went to the same school as your father, young Liam."

"Then why does Mom have a gun? And how are you so brave when someone's pointing a gun at you? Shouldn't you be terrified?"

"Oh young Liam, I've been threatened like this for almost 100 times now."

   "Oh shush it, Jerk Jeffrey."

  "Ouch, that hurt you know."

"If anything happens to Liam, you're gonna take responsibility."

"So is that an okay for me to teach your son?"

My Mom put away the gun and said to me, "Stay safe Liam."

As she's walking away, "Thank you Mom! I promise I'll make you proud!"

"Your Mom use to be a straight-A student you know and she's very fearsome too. Well, let's continue investigating shall we?" I agreed not trying to know what was their relationship.

"Hey, coach. I had this nightmare two days ago before I met you."

"Oh yeah, what was it like?"

"Well, I was in a very dark and scary place, and something talked to me calling itself 'the voice' or something. And it told me to go to here to get the first clue."

"So that's why you want me to become your coach."

"No, that was out of the ordinary, I asked without thinking."

"Oh? Then what did 'the voice' told you other than coming here?"

"Well it said open the file of the street."

"File of the street...Could it be saying the camera of the street that your father died?"

   "Wait, there was a camera?"

"Yeah, let me show it to you."

Coach showed me the footage of the street but nothing was out of the ordinary, and came my Dad's car. "Your father seems to be speeding up, like it was running away from something...There, that's the strange part."

The footage got censored for a second, after that my Dad's car was gone, but there was smoke, "Then we found your father's car on the side of the road, looks like it was crashed into another car but it was nowhere to be found."

"Well my Dad was driving away the restaurant that my Dad worked in, since that's the only way in and out the restaurant."

"Then was he running away from the restaurant? His boss?"

"What? No way, coach. His boss is the last thing he could run away from."

"Eh? But that's the only possibility we have now, and at that hour, your father was working late and normally, the owner of any restaurant never leaves their restaurant early from what I've known."

"Wait, that makes sense. But have you checked any connected roads to the restaurant that have any other vehicles?"

"Yeah, I've checked but nothing was going towards the restaurant."

"Then was your father's boss the cause of his death."

"As you said, that's the only option we have right now."

"So you want to interrogate him?"

"Yeah."

Then something clicked on my brain, so I asked coach, "Wait, was there any chance that there was an accident before this?"

"Now you mentioned it, yeah, there was."

Coach checked the history of accidents happened on the exact street and pulled out 28 accidents.

   "Oh my goodness, 28!"

"T-Then if we include my Dad's d-death, that makes it 2-2-29."

"This boss killed 29 of his employees! That can make him go behind bars for a lifetime!"

"Yeah, we should go and interrogate him now, he's done it too much, we need to stop this madman once and for all."

"How did he get away from getting into jail 28 times!"

"Okay Coach, we need to calm down, let's not jump into conclusions-"

"What do you think, man? It has to be him right?" My coach just left his desk and asked his workmates beside him.

   "Coach, are you listening?"

"Yeah, I'm listening. But I think it's already obvious."

"Yeah, me too. Now then, let's go shall we?" We went to the restaurant to interrogate the boss.

"I'm coming for you, whoever my Dad's killer is, you won't get away..!"
