Lisa had been paying attention to the progress of the situation. She saw Mo Zhen also shared the post that Jungkook uploaded in the evening and expressed that he is also an avid reader of Teacher Xing Xin. This time, he is very fortunate to be acting as Wu Jeong and he will try his best.
This post has caused a hot debate among the fans. Lisa read for a while and then decided to log out.
In a glimpse, the May holiday quickly passed. Lisa brought a bag of food that was prepared by her mother and embarked on the road journey back into the city.
Lisa took the last bus, and it was evening by the time she arrived home. She passed some food to Minnie, took a shower and fell onto her bed with tiredness.
The movie version of 'Actor' has attracted such a great attention. However, Teacher Xing Xin has not made any further response after that. Moreover, he has taken over the scriptwriter role. Maybe now he is very busy writing the script?
...Does this mean that the manuscript for his next book will be dragged again?
Thinking about it, Lisa felt depressed. This kind of infernal drafting experience, she really does not want to go through it again.
On the first day back at work after the holiday, work was particularly busy. 'Death Message' finally went to the printshop. Lisa couldn't rest assured, so she also personally went to the printing factory to check on the printing of the book. Besides, all of this month's magazine work need to be completed, so Lisa was super busy. Every day, after returning home, she was so tired, so she fell asleep immediately.
On the third day of work, as usual, it is a busy day again. Lisa did not even have time to check the QQ chat that was blinking. Cha Eunwoo's message has been blinking on the lower right corner for a long time before she finally clicked to read it.
Cha Eunwoo: [Bian Bian, today is Teacher Xing Xin's birthday! (♡ω♡ ) ~♪]
After seeing the message, Lisa subconsciously looked at the calendar on the table. Today is May 5th. She now remembered that today is Teacher Xing Xin's birthday.
(Let's just pretend it is his birthday )
Cauliflowe: [Oh, you're right.]
Cha Eunwoo: [Bian Bian, are you busy?]
Cauliflower: [Yes, so busy that I'm so tired now ╥﹏╥]
Cha Eunwoo: [Ah I see...]
Cha Eunwoo: [Then I shouldn't have bothered you, but do you know what happened to Teacher Xing Xin? >< He hasn't been online recently. Today, Teacher Seokjin asked him out to celebrate his birthday, but he rejected (。•́︿•̀。)]
Hearing Cha Eunwoo said that, Lisa realized that she seems to have not contacted Jungkook for a long time.
Cauliflower: [I don't know either, I've been too busy lately, so I didn't even contact Teacher Xing Xin.]
Cha Eunwoo: [Teacher Seokjin said that it seems like Teacher Xing Xin is not feeling well recently :<]
Cauliflower: [...But he says that all the time :v]
Cha Eunwoo: [XD]
Cha Eunwoo: [I thought I would be able to see Teacher Xing Xin in real life during his birthday party... Q^Q]
Cauliflower: [It's okay, you'll get to meet him in the future! Teacher Xing Xin should be too busy right now since he's preparing a new book and scriptwriting a movie, 'Actor'.]
Cha Eunwoo: [Aaa I'm looking forward to 'Actor' movie version! Emperror Mo is playing Wu Jeong, he's so handsome!]
Cauliflower: [Haha yeah. Anyways, I need to head to the printshop now, so talk later.]
Cha Eunwoo: [Oh okay, remember to pay attention to your health, don't work too hard!]
Lisa sent him a smile emoticon and quit QQ.
After visiting the printing factory for three days, Lisa finally is assured that there should not be any issue with the printing. When she left the printing factory, it was already over six o'clock. She did not return to the company and took the subway back home.
When passing through the cake shop downstairs, Lisa stood for a moment in front of the door and then decided to walked in. Now it is too late to order a birthday cake, so Lisa decided to buy one of the largest fruit cakes in the store.
But this cake has only 6 slices, each of them are pretty small. Lisa felt that if she gave this to him herself, he will mock her.
In front of the refrigerated cabinet, she selected a few pieces of cake to make up for the shortfall. Lisa then settled the bill.
With the cake in the big paper bag standing in front of Jungkook's door, Lisa did not press the doorbell immediately. Although it is Teacher Xing Xin's birthday today, she feels that it is still a bit awkward to meet him. No, no, no, everyone is an adult, there is nothing to be shy about. She might had misunderstood him that day. Strengthening her own heart, Lisa finally pressed the doorbell.
The doorbell rang for a long time. No one opened the door. Lisa began to suspect that Jungkook is not home. She raised her hand and was about to press the bell again, and the door was suddenly opened.
Jungkook was wearing a white t-shirt. His eyes were slightly squint and his hair was messy, just like he had just woken up. Lisa looked at him for a while before revealing a natural smile, "Teacher, happy birthday."
Jungkook looked at her for a moment, put his hands into his pockets and turned around to go inside the house, "Come in."
Lisa put on the slippers and followed behind him, "Teacher, what's wrong with you? You look like you don't have any energy."
Jungkook said, "Try having a fever and still have energy."
Lisa quickly blinked and walked towards him, "You really are having a fever?"
Jungkook said, "Do you want me to measure and then show you my temperature?"
"No..." Lisa put the paper bag with the cakes on the table and looked at him, "But is it not because you used to lie too much? Have you heard of the story of the lying wolf?"
Jungkook seems to be very tired and did not talk anymore. He then lay down on the couch. Lisa came to him, sitting beside the sofa, "Teacher?"
She called him gently. When the other party ignored her, she only dared to touch his forehead with boldness, "It's hot, did you take any medicine?"
"Hm." Jungkook closed his eyes and murmured. Lisa stood up and went into his room to take out his blanket and cover him. Then, she went into the kitchen to make an ice pack to put on his forehead.
Jungkook seems more comfortable now.
Lisa looked at him for a while, said softly, "It seems that you can't eat these cakes."
"Cough..." Jungkook coughed and whispered, "You help me put the cakes into the fridge, I can eat them tomorrow after I recover."
Lisa, "..."
As she expected from a professional food lover...
Lisa put the cakes into the fridge and then looked at Jungkook that had fallen asleep on the couch. It is pitiful enough for him to have a fever today, she doesn't feel like leaving him alone.
She found some ingredients in the kitchen and was planning to cook something for herself. Jungkook has been sleeping on the sofa, so Lisa sometimes changed his ice packs while cooking. Finally, she gradually fell asleep.
Did not know when Jungkook woke up, he raised his hand and touched the ice bag that was almost becoming water on his forehead. He looked slightly to one side and saw Lisa sleeping on the other sofa.
He froze for a moment and then slowly softened his eyes. Lisa's breathing was gentle and her long hair was drapped over her shoulders. Jungkook looked at her for a while, slowly extending his hand to rub her head.
"Hm..." Lisa muttered quietly. She wasn't in deep sleep, so when Jungkook touched her, she woke up.
Jungkook seeing her turning and waking up, he quickly took his hand back.
Lisa stretched her back and slowly sat up, "Ah, teacher, you're awake!"
"Hm." Jungkook replied and looked back at the ceiling above.
Lisa came to take the ice bag from his head and tried to test the temperature of his forehead. She sighed with relief, "The temperature has gone down, do you want to measure the temperature again?"
"No need." Jungkook replied.
"Ah..." Lisa stood up, because she sat on the floor for too long, she felt a bit numb. She moved her arms and looked at the watch on her wrists, "It's not twelve o'clock yet!"
Lisa ran into the kitchen to take out the little fruit cake and put it on the coffee table in the living room. She then lit up the candle, "While there's still a few minutes left, make a wish!"
Jungkook looked at her and the burning candle on the cake. He sat up on the couch and said, "You bought your favourite cake to celebrate my birthday?"
"There are some other flavoured cakes in the refrigerator, you can keep them and eat it tomorrow!" Lisa quickly explained, "Anyways, make a wish!"
Jungkook's tone is still somewhat dissatisfied, "With such a small cake, my wish can't come true."
Lisa, "..."
Wish is something you need to fight for yourself ah, it is not depending on cakes!
"Last time for Chief Editor's birthday, you used a big 17 candle, so why did you give me 28 for my birthday?"
Lisa, "..."
Because the Chief Editor is a woman, and you are not!
She took a deep breath to relieve and remind herself to remain patient with the sick patient. Today is also his birthday, so she should be tolerant. Lisa smiled at Jungkook with an accommodating smile, "Teacher, if you don't blow the candle now, it'll soon be twelve o'clock."
Jungkook's gaze swept over her, then he closed his eyes, folded his hands together and whispered, "I hope I can get married this year."
Lisa, "..."
Teacher, it will be more realistic if you wish to get a girlfriend soon!
Jungkook blew out the candles and picked up the cake knife to prepare to cut the cake. Lisa grabbed the knife and frowned at him, "What are you doing?"
"Of course to eat the cake. Since brought these dishes out, didn't you want to let me eat the cake?"
"No... I just want you to make a wish."
"Now that the this mission has been completed, we can carry out the second mission."
Lisa, "..."
"I prepared some porridge before and kept it hot, you should eat some porridge before eating the cake." She then went into the kitchen and filled a small bowl with porridge.
Jungkook looked down at the porridge in the bowl that was still steaming hot. He picked up the spoon and put into his mouth.
Lisa cut two small portions of cakes and placed them on the plate before putting the rest back into the fridge. The room was a little quiet. Lisa took a put the strawberries on the cake while saying, "What were you doing on the May holiday? Why was there no news from you?"
Jungkook said, "Wasn't there no news from you as well?"
"Ah, I was just... Thinking about life..."
Jungkook looked at her and said, "I'm also giving you time to think about life."
