Part 17 - Jelousy

Next Morning
Preeta, Karan, Purvi, Kavin, Dushyant and Ishita were gone out for lunch when someone taps Preeta's shoulders. Preeta turned and when she saw the person she jumped out of her seat and hugged the person really tightly.
Preeta: Rishabh I missed you so much.
Rishabh: I missed you too.
Karan (thinking): What the hell, how dare he touch Preeta.
Preeta: Where have you been?
Rishabh: You know after my parents accident, I wanted some time so I decided to go to Delhi to handle my parents business but then I decided to shift my business in Mumbai. Like what my parents always wanted.
Preeta: That's a brilliant idea and it looks like we'll be meeting often.
Karan (thinking): So know he's staying, he better have his own house.
Rishabh: Are you going to introduce me to your friends?
Preeta: Yeh. This is Kavin, Dushyant, Ishita, Purvi and this is Karan.
Rishabh handshakes everyone but when it was Karan's turn Karan held Rishabh's hand for a long time and was pressing it really hard. Everyone noticed this and smirked.
Purvi: Karan are you okay?
Karan realising the situation let's go of Rishabh's hand.
Karan? Yeh. Sorry Rishabh I was just thinking something and totally forgot.
Rishabh: It's okay.
Everyone was smiling.
Karan (thinking): Karan calm down. He's just Preeta's friend. Wait, Why do I care?
Kavin: Karan is something wrong?
Karan: No
Dushyant: Rishabh why don't you join us?
Karan (thinking): Please don't.
Rishabh: Sure why not
They were having there food when Purvi decided to ask
Purvi: Rishabh where are you staying?
Rishabh: I have a house but due to it being renovated I'm staying at a hotel.
Preeta: Why? You can stay with me.
Rishabh: No it's okay everything's nearly done and I have already settled in at the hotel.
Preeta: Okay but next time if something's wrong you'll have to say at mine.
Rishabh: Sure.
They talked and ate for an while when Rishabh had to leave for a meeting. Once he left everyone was praising him and saying he was a good match for Preeta which made Karan really jealous.
After a little chit-chat they all left.

At night - Karan's house
Karan: Why was I jealous when Preeta hugged Rishabh? Do I like her? Maybe but does she like me back? What should I do?
Karan called Kavin and told him his situation and Kavin told Karan if he really likes Preeta he should propose. So Karan decide to do so.

Next day at Preeta's house
Preeta was watching Tv when there was a knock on her door. She went to open it and saw Karan.
Preeta: Hi
Karan: Hi I actually wanted to talk to.
Preeta: Sure, come in.
Preeta turned around for a mini second but when she turned back to face Karan she saw him..........
