there hadn't been an overwhelming amount of media attention for i-land. of course there had been the usual crowd, but there was no major interest in the survival show.
and that wasn't good enough for mnet. they needed to have that media attention. so they came to a conclusion; they would add a twist.
it was bang pd himself who, after hearing about their wish for a twist agreed and sat down with those managing the show, came up with the idea of it.
what was more unique then adding something that nobody had ever done before? a girl in a survival show full of boys. and so, they came up with the terms for it and began asking female trainees to join.
only one of them agreed, and she seemed to fit perfectly with what they had in mind. an antagonist, someone for balance between the boys who could equal their talents.
she was never meant to succeed. but seo yoomi didn't like to fail.
