I stared down at my history book trying not to draw attention to myself. Windy had just been called on along with Cassy, Macy, and Jane. Us four are the most quiet students in the school and only I was left. I don't understand why we have to do all of this annoying ' Pick who's next' crap. It is the last day of school so why even bother begin learning about ancient Greece? Windy was stuttering left and right and I couldn't help but feel bad for her. I don't really have any friends, not even the other quiet girls. They have friends in other classes but I on the other hand don't have any one to hang out with or to text. The bell should ring any moment now.
"Well well well, ms. virgin, are you doing anything this summer?" I heard from behind me. I turned around and rolled my eyes.
"leave me alone Cassidy." I muttered.
"Well are you? Probably not though right? Are you going to study to be a nun? I mean, you haven't had your first kiss, haven't had sex, a boyfriend, never been to a party, no friends. Might as well commit yourself to god now right?" Her friends Jennifer and Michelle snickered at her little speech.
" Just because I'm not a slut like you guys doesn't mean I'm a nun" I shot back maybe a little too loud.
"Ms Greene, would you like to repeat what you just said to the class?" Mr. McMullen spoke up. I turned back around to face the front of my seat.
"I am so sorry Mr. McMullen. " I told him. The bell rang just as he was going to answer and everyone cheered. I am going to miss this place. Besides the bullying, no friends, and homework I really love school. The lunch lady Kara always invites me in the kitchen and we have lunch together. I'm going to miss her most of all. I grabbed my book and threw it in my backpack. I stood up and walked out into the hallway with my head down all the way to the front doors. My brother Chris sat there on the hood of his car waiting for me to get out of school.
" Hey Chris" I smiled giving him a hug.
" Hey baby sis." We hopped in his mustang and took off from the building.
"Are you happy you don't have to go to this place anymore?" He asked me not taking his eyes off of the road.
"Yeah, I guess. I never knew that I would kind of miss school after I graduated. "
"oh really why's that?"
"Don't know. I'll miss Mrs. Kara" I looked out the window watching the trees pass us by.
"Ehh, she was always the nice lunch lady. I don't think I'd say I miss her but she wasn't bad." He said pulling into our driveway.
" Yeah well I'll miss her." I grabbed my bag and stepped out of the car and walked up our steps to enter the house. When I open the door mom is rushing around the house with a broom in one hand and a sponge in the other.
"Mom?" I said as I set my bag on the table.
" Oh honey you're home. Good. I need you to set the table. Chris go check the chicken in the oven." I nodded unsure of why we were in a rush, but I began setting the table. I grabbed the fancy plates and cups setting them in the spots on the table. When I was done I told my mom then ran upstairs to change. I opened my door running to my closet. What should I wear? I don't know if I should be fancy, casual, casually fancy, or just cute. Let's do cute. I grabbed my favorite black sweater and my favorite jean shorts and threw them on the bed. Next I grabbed my white shoes and pulled them on (picture at thr top) and put all of the clothes on.Glancing at the mirror, I noticed my hair was all over the place so I plugged in my straightener and just randomly ran it through.
" Oh hello! Come in please come in!" I heard my mother say putting on her polite voice. I shook out my hair one more time before heading down stairs.
