Chelsea's P.O.V

It was getting dark outside and I followed where my feet were taking me. The sound of waves crashing against the shore caught my attention. I looked up to take in my surroundings and found myself on a pretty beach. I walked up to a long, wooden pier and sat down on the edge. I took off my red, rubber boots and let my feet come into contact with the cold water. The sound of footsteps in sand caught my attention and I looked behind me to see a tall silhouette with a hat on. The tall figure sat on the sand looking over the ocean and it hasn't seemed to notice me. The silhouette didn't seem familiar so it was probably the cousin Julia was talking about. I took my feet out of the water and the cold air pierced my feet. I shook off the cold feeling and put my boots on. I stood up and cautiously walked to the figure. Even though it was dark, I could slightly make out colors. I stood at least two feet away from the figure not wanting it to be startled. As if it was feeling my gaze on it, it looked up slowly to look it's eyes in my eyes. It was a guy, and he looked, how do I explain this. Majestic? He was gorgeous. Dark mysterious purple eyes, jaw-length silky  silver hair, perfect features. He looked at least twenty-one years old. He looked at me and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "I'm Chelsea, the new farmer. And you are?" I smiled sticking my hand out. His eyebrows returned to its noramal state and looked back at the ocean. "Vaughn, I'm the animal dealer." His voice had a slight ring of a southern accent in it"Aren't you Julia's cousin?" He nodded in response. "I thought so. Can I sit here?" He grunted in response. I took a seat next to him and we both stared at nothing in particular but the sea. I didn't notice the temperature started dropping fast until I was shivering. I heard shuffling and something being placed over my shoulders. I looked at Vaughn and noticed he took his jacket off and placed it around me. "Wait, but aren't you cold?" "I'm fine." "Are you sure?" He nodded. I slipped my arms through the jacket and the sleeves were really long but I felt it comfortable. I felt something wet fall on my face and I touched my check to find it was water. I looked up at the star-filled sky and saw snow gently falling to the ground. I looked up at Vaughn and smiled who looked down at me. He covered his face with his hat and looked away leaving me confused. I felt myself getting tired and I felt myself fall into Vaughn but he didn't move except for him tensing up a little.

Vaughn's P.O.V

Chelsea fell into my arms and I looked down at her. Her eyes were closed and her breathing was soft. Gently, I picked her up and carried her close to my body, providing her with warmth. As I took in the surroundings, the snow quickly covered the ground. I carried her to her farm and I turned the doorknob to her house but it was locked. I sighed through my nose and walked back to Mirabelle's house. Chelsea was easy to carry and was very light, maybe around seventy-five pounds and that scared me a little. I walked into the shop and the bell jingled above me. I could hear footsteps running in the shop area and soon enough, Julia's face appeared around the corner. She glared at me but saw Chelsea in my arms. "What did you do!" She screamed. "Julia, shut up. She just fell asleep and her house is locked." "Well don't just stand there, bring her up to my room." She said and ran out of the shop area and up the stairs into her room. As I was carrying Chelsea up the stairs, I took in her facial features. Her chestnut brown hair was shoulder-length and was slightly damp because of the snow. She looked almost like a child. Her small nose, puffy cheeks, rosy small lips. I had to break away my gaze because I almost tripped on the first step of the stairs. I carried her into Julia's room and laid her down on the bed. I pulled the covers up to her chin and left. When I closed the door, Julia was standing outside the door smirking at me. "What's your problem." I said brushing past her. "Not so fast mister. I know you have a thing for Chelsea and I will do anything to get you guys together. You may now proceed." She said letting go of my arm. I turned around and glared at her. "I do not like Chelsea. I hardly even know her." I stomped into my room and slammed my door. I took off my shirt and put on gray sweat pants. I set my stetson on the bed side table and drifted off to sleep.
