Bellamy

Ever since that chat with Murphy, Bellamy couldn't help but wonder why Murphy of all people would be worried about him.

He almost couldn't believe it when he heard the hoarse voice come through the radio. Bellamy had waited for several seconds wondering if it was truly Murphy.

And it had been.

It hurt him in a way that he couldn't explain. Hurt him to hear Murphy's scratchy voice ask if he was okay.

Made him remember the day that he kicked that crate.

What he wouldn't do to go back to that day and save Murphy. Perhaps then things would be different now.

Just giving the people what they wanted.

Lie.

The truth was Bellamy had strong feelings for Murphy and was doing everything in his power to hide them.

"Bellamy, come on it's time" Jasper spoke breaking his train of thought.

He took a deep breath as he re-evaluated the plan in his head. He had to survive long enough to make it back to camp Jaha no matter what.

"I'm ready"

•••

Back at camp Murphy was being put to use.

Clarke made him a deal that if he helped with the cooking for everyone he would get a gun.

Funny.

That's all Murphy ever wanted was a gun. Now he wanted nothing more than to see the face that had been playing at the back of his mind.

Deciding to be fair he helped out Clarke. Not for a gun nor for the trust and respect no one had ever shown him.

No, this was all for Bellamy. Something to keep him off his mind. Something to get rid of the truth that was slowly gnawing its way out of Murphy.

He had been cutting meat up for what seemed like days, so when the sudden cry of the grounders rung out around camp he was happy to drop his knife and leave to find the princess.

"Murphy" Raven yelled when he reached the outdoors.

He wheeled around just in time to catch a gun that was been thrown to him.

"You're gonna need that for this war" she grinned "thank Clarke"

He grinned as she walked away.

Looking down at the metal in his hands he realized that he wasn't getting the usual adrenaline he was used to. He feared only one thing could ever give him that rush again.

That one thing being Bellamy.

Mentally kicking himself he made his way to where Clarke and Lexa were.

Lexa was chanting something to the huge camp of grounders below and he had a feeling what it was.

"Thanks" he nodded towards Clarke and gestures to the gun.

"Oh yeah" she seemed taken by surprise "anytime"

Murphy knew something was up with her due to lack of sarcastic response but he shrugged it off as the whole army began to move.

"Here we go" whispered to himself.

•••

Bellamy laid quietly in the vents breathing hoarsely. Blowing up the whole control room had not been part of the plan.

The same words kept repeating themselves in his mind.

Could've died.

He didn't know if he was going insane or if it was just the shock of almost being blown to smithereens but he was in a panicked state.

Quickly pulling himself to his feet he shimmied back into the vents and made his way to the grounders locked in cages.

Breaking them out was his next goal. Unleashing an army on the inside of Mount Weather would hopefully bring down its walls faster.

All he knew was after this was all over he needed to see Murphy.

No one but Murphy.
