hitoshi's pov:
after getting back from the park i phoned y/n because i wanted to ask her when she would be getting back. i was honestly worried for her since it was late and i wanted her to atleast text me when she gets home safely.
the phone rang and rang but no answer...
that's strange... i was with her a minute ago why isn't she answering?
i got worried but realised i shouldnt worry myself just like she said. she's strong enough to handle anything..
yeah i'll just sleep she'll be here tomorrow.
as i closed my eyes in hopes of getting at least some sleep i hear my phone ding and the screen light up and it was a text from y/n!
i open my phone and the text was from y/n it said:
- "sorry hitoshi but u probably wont see me for a while so i wanted u to know ur rlly talented and i love u smm and ur gonna be a great hero. dont let anyone tell u otherwise :)"
my stomach drops at the sight of her text. what does she mean? and i text the following:
- "y/n what do u mean?? im gonna see u tomorrow right?"
- "its not time for jokes rn"
i wait a couple of seconds only to see that she read the message and is now typing
- "im not joking... i wish i was haha"
- "what i mean is that i want to disappear like akira told me to"
- "thank you for being there for me<3"
- "and goodbye"

i dont wait for a response as i rush out of my room and into aizawa-sensei's room
i find him sleeping on his bed clearly exhausted but i shake him awake
"hey sensei!! SENSEI WAKE UP!!"
3rd pov:
aizawa gasped in surprise and was in a fighting stance but he sighs in relief as he sees it was only hitoshi
"what is it hitoshi? why did u me wake up?" aizawa said groggily
but hitoshi's words were scrambled with tears and you couldnt understand a thing from what he was saying
"hito i cant understand a thing. calm down."
but hitoshi was too frantic he couldnt even HEAR aizawa
"HITOSHI CALM DOWN!"
that made him stop
"now tell me"
"I-IT'S Y/N!!"
"what??!"
hitoshi shoved the phone to aizawa's face who read the texts
his face slowly filled with worry, shock and slight guilt
"i dont get it!! what does she mean by "dissappear like akira told her to"? i thought the whole akira bullying her was a rumor??!"
hitoshi explained the whole thing and what y/n told him
"..."
"..."
"i- i- just dont understand..." aizawa stammered "why didnt she just tell us...?"
"have u tried calling her?" aizawa asked
"she blocked me on everything i cant"
"i'll try..."
aizawa rang her phone only to immediately reach voicemail
but this wasnt her old voicemail.
"hello there!" she laughed a humorless dry laugh.
"you reached y/n's voicemail!! as u probably know i have disappeared now so i probably threw my phone somewhere haha"
the fake positivity was so revolting it made them feel sick
"anyways, dont try to call again because like i told you i probably threw my phone somewhere so yeah im afraid i wouldnt be able to return your call haha. thats why you dont have to leave a message after the beep...but if u want to. BEEP!"
with that the voicemail ended.
hitoshi lost all hope of contacting y/n
he kept crying as aizawa shakily tried to leave a message just in case maybe y/n still has her phone on her.
aizawa eventually hung up
"what do we do?"
"look... you're not going to like this but-"
"WE NEED TO LOOK FOR HER!!"
"no- look all we can do right now is sleep and hope she turns up tomorrow-"
"WHAT?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?? WE CANT JUST LEAVE HER! WE NEED TO TELL THE PRO HEROES OR THE POLICE-"
"YOU THINK IM OKAY WITH THIS?! MY DAUGHTER IS OUT THERE, ALL ALONE. AND WITH /HER/ MENTAL HEALTH, I DONT EVEN KNOW IF I'LL EVER SEE HER AGAIN!!" his eyes teared up as he began sobbing
hitoshi was shocked by his outburst
"...sorry"
aizawa calmed down soon after
"look... they wont even count her as missing person unless she is missing for 24 hours."
"so get some sleep and hope she'll turn up tomorrow safe and sound. okay?"
"... okay"
"come here.."
the father-son duo hugged and sobbed into each others' embraces but they soon let go and each of them went to bed
