Bolt licked me to wake me up which is always the worst was to wake up. I pushed him gently and opened my eyes. Not only was there Bolt, but there was also Meri snooping in my closet. I lift up my upper body and my head started to spin at how fast I did it. I groaned and he looked behind.

-Morning, we're leaving in two hours. That's enough for you to prepare, right? Meri said and put on my bed my black hoodie, my black t-shirt and blue jeans.

I nodded in response and he sat on the edge of my bed.

-Gimme your wrist.

I obeyed and handed my right wrist. The charm was creepy because it was a closed eye. He put it for me and I thanked him.

-This bracelet will let you be able to change into human form. Press the eye and you will instantly turn into a human. The eye will glow, letting you know that you're in a human form just incase you forgot. Always change back, understood?

-Sir yes sir!

-Aussie, I'm not kidding. Always change back when you don't need it, alright?

-Alright!

He got up and left to let me change. He closed the door for me and I instantly got up. I picked up the outfit of the day and wore it. I wrapped the hoodie around my waist since I knew my brother gave it to me just in case I was going to get cold. I got downstairs with a smile on my face.

I spend my free time while waiting for two hours to pass by playing with my pets that I love so much. Ame knocked on the door and I looked at it. I was sitting on the floor with Bell the snake on my shoulders. The doorknob opened and Meri peaked inside. He was pale even if he had a lot of colors on his flag.

-Hey, um... It's time to go. He said and I nodded.

He closed back the door with fear in his eyes. He had never touched one of my snakes, he should at least try it once. I got up and placed her back in the cage and double checked it, making sure she was locked in. I waved her goodbye and she hissed at me. I got out of my room and went downstairs. Meri was in his human form already so I did it as well.

I pressed the button and I watched my hands as they turn into human skin. My skin was tanned because of always playing outside. I looked at the side which had a mirror and it showed my blonde hair tied into a small ponytail at the end. I still had my savana hat on so I took it off. I looked decent for a human. I wore it back and looked back at my brother. He had his shades and a scar on his cheek. He had blue eyes like all of us except for Nada which had green. His skin was white and he was skinny. Too skinny. I didn't say anything and walked towards him and we left the house.

He drove and Bolt was at the backseat. He was laying down so that Meri could see the back.

-You know, it's stupid to bring Bolt with you. He can't come. Meri started and I turned to look at him.

-Well, I just wanna give him a last pet for good luck!

-Whatever.

Meri parked the car and I got out. I told him to wait for me until I get back to him. He nodded and I gave a pet and a kiss on the head. Meri stopped the engine and watched his phone. I said bye and he waved. I ran towards the building and I could see a young girl with long straight black hair. She was wearing black shorts and a light pink shirt. She walked inside the open zoo and I followed her inside. I looked around the zoo and it was packed. Kids watching the animals and being amazed at all of them. I smiled even wider while thinking that maybe if I get the job, I'll be able to make the kids smile wider.

I got so caught up that I lost the girl. I looked around and people were coming left and right. There was a male worker that was showing the kids animal facts. I walked towards them and stood behind the kids. I listen as the man telling the kids a lot of facts that are all true.

Once they all left, I was alone with the man. I walked to him and asked for the manager to get the job.

-Oh, so you're David. The man said and motioned with his hands to follow him.

-Yes sir. I nodded and followed him.

-And where are you from?

-Australia.

-Alright, which animals have you experience with?

-Mostly reptiles but I'm great with dangerous animals.

He asked me some more questions and I started to think that he's the manager. We arrived at a building and we met a short girl with long black hair. She wasn't expecting us at all.

-Boss! Her voice jumped and she was breathing heavily. -You scared me.

-Sorry Hina, but I would like to speak with you.

-Yes boss?

-I would like you to show around our new worker and take his shirt size for me, please?

-Wait, I'm hired? I asked in surprise.

The man turned around and he chuckled.

-Sorry, I guess I forgot to tell you. But wasn't it obvious?

-No, no it wasn't obvious mate.

-Well, do you want the job, or not?

-Of course I want it.

-Then follow Hina, she'll show you around.

It got silent. I wasn't able to process what we fought about and how it started.

-Umm, boss. Can I show him around now? Hina asked and he turned his head back to her.

-Yeah, be nice to him.

-Boss, with all due respect, I won't be able to hurt him with how tall he is.

-Good to know.

He left the room and now me and Hina, who might be the girl that I saw earlier, are alone.
