chapter 1

(Karls pov)

"Honk me" I sighed realizing the time, 5:36am  my phone read. I guess I'll just power through my day with energy drinks. I started getting up from my desk that I was at all night questioning how my first day of a new high school was gonna go.

Well I guess it doesn't matter anymore I have to leave in less then a hour. I go to my bed that had my I prepared for this day. I got dressed, brushed my teath and hair and grabbed 2 energy drinks. I looked at my slightly empty room before I left.

"Mom, me and Tubbo need to leave!" I shout, I hear foot steps running from upstairs, soon after I got embraced with a hug by my mother. "I love you, don't forget it. I'll miss you text me everyday" she says sounding almost in tears. "I will mom dont worry" I smiled at her. "Tubbo are you almost ready?" I yelled hoping my little brother was awake so we could get going.

"Yeah hold on, im trying to pack one more thing before we go" Tubbo yelled back sounding in a rush. I sighed and waited for him to get down here. After a few minutes he came running down the stairs with his suitcase flying behind him.

Sometimes I forget he can make things fly and even fly himself. He quickly hugs mom and tells her everything will be fine. He walks over to me and I ruffle his hair and we head off to our new high school.

Its his second year in high school but it's my last year, but this high school is a little different then our last one. This one is a little more about training our magic and they're dorms so ill be staying with a couple more people same with Tubbo.

We get in my car and drive towards the school. "So you ready to learn more about your magic tubs" I ask, him seeming annoyed by the nickname. "Yeah I want to know more about this nuclear type magic I have its pretty cool" he says excited " but what about you, all your magic does so far is give you weird glimpses of stuff and makes you pass out a lot. You can't even control anything." He says kinda making fun of how dumb my powers are.

"Yeah there pretty dumb, but mom says this school is the best for training powers, but she's said that before with the other 4 high schools we tried." I laugh, it was funny how hard it was to understand my powers. All I've learned about them is they usually happen when im stressed but I can't rely on that anymore.

"So you ready to see ranboo again?" I say slightly teasing him about it. He and ranboo had been friends forever, tubbo finding out ranboo would be going to the same high school this year made him so excited." Of course and tommy said he'd be there too so im really excited" he smiled to himself but I caught it in the corner of my eye.

After a few turns, we turned on the street the school was on. It was massive, I guess they weren't kidding when they said this school was like a dream. Maybe thats why they called it dream s.m.p high school. Smp standing for "students made powerful " I guess they don't lie.

"Were here" I said as i parked the car. "Lets get in there before we're late." I said hopping out the car not that much later Tubbo did the same.
"You ready?" Tubbo asked as we walked towards the entrance of the school. "No but thats ok ill get through this eventually" I said giving him a smile so he knew I was good.

We got inside and went to the main office. "Karl and tubbo right?" The lady asked looking at her computer "yes, were here for our schedules?" I said looking towards her. "Ah, yes one moment" she said as she rolled over to the printer and printed some stuff. "Here you sweeties go" she handed us our schedules. I thanked her and we left.

"Welp let's get going to our dorms shall we?" I said looking down at tubbo. "Yup! I'll get to see my friends so thats nice" Tubbo smiled as he started to jump a bit while walking. "Your lucky you got people you know in your dorm. I dont even know who im staying with." I sighed, hes so lucky.

"Yup, loser" he chuckled. "Oh shut it you explosive bee" I said teasing him about his weird powers. "Hey at least I know what my powers are" he snapped back. I rolled my eyes, idiot.

Once we got to the dorms, I said goodbye to Tubbo since he went the opposite way then me. Then headed towards my own dorm. I wonder if my roommates are nice, will they like me? Maybe they'll think im annoying. No shut up everything will be fine its only two other people that have probably been here for all their high school lives and know everything and can control their powers- yup im doomed.

I sighed as I got to my dorm room door. Maybe I can just leave- nope too late now got to do this. I open the door to a surprisingly but reassuring sight of no one in the dorm. I just felt relieved and walked in. The dorm was pretty big, it had 3 people living in it so it probably should be.

One side was all decked out with what looked like cards and gambling stuff with ducks it was weird but cool, the other area was blue and red and some mismatched colors, some weird glasses were on one of the desk and there was a glowing Supreme sign on the wall. My side was very empty, probably because I hadn't decorated it yet.

I walked over to the boxes on my bed and started to unpack. After an hour or so I finally finished my side of the room. It was pretty nice but definitely different from the other side. My side was kinda more kid core and colors kinda aesthetic. It had anime stuff  but there was also a lot of cartoon posters. I started feeling tired so I took out one of my monster and and cracked it open.

I take a sip and set it down on my desk and floped on my bed. "Aghhh" I sighed out loud, today's already been so exhausting and its only just started.  I decided to check my phone and saw i got a couple messages from Tubbo. One was a picture of him and ranboo and tommy all hanging out, im glad he's happy. The other was asking if I met my roommates yet.

I texted him no and turned my phone off while standing up to check out some stuff around the room. I saw some cool posters on the other side of the room. I walked over to them and looked at them for a bit.
Some of the posters were from shows or video games that looked pretty cool.

After a while of looking at some stuff i heard the doorknob rattle and  Before I could react the dorm door swung open.
