time in-between (Karlnap)

chapter 3

(Karl's pov)

I open my eyes to see im still in my room, I don't really remember what happened but I do remember everyone so thats nice. "Karl!" I heard tubbo say happily. "Hey tubbo" I say sitting up while I rub my head. It still kinda hurts from before. "So what happened?" I ask looking over to him.

"Well I was just coming by to check up on you and well I saw you like that and rushed to help. Then you passed out and now were here." He said sitting next to me. "It was different then the other Times, your eyes changed colors it was cool if you forget the fact you were basically shaking like a earthquake. You said some weird shit too."

I looked over to him still totally confused about it. "What about my roommates?" "Oh them, yeah they were freaking out especially when you passed out, it was funny. They were really confused so I had to tell them that its normal but normally not that intense."

I sigh and get up "where are they now?" I ask as I stretch a bit. "They went out to get food and take a breather" he said as he got on his phone and layed back on my bed. "Well im gonna go take a walk, alone. Text me when they get back." I added the alone part so he didn't follow me.

"Oh ok, im gonna invite ranboo and tommy over then so im not lonely" he said before I shut the door. I started to walk down the dorms to the main hallway so I could leave this place. Once I was out side I decided to explore the campus a bit before classes started tomorrow.

There was a cute type garden thing on the side of the main building I decided to check out first. It said it had a calming aura so if you were stressed it would be a good idea to go there. The school was pretty big but I guess that's to be expected from such a famous school. Im surprised me and tubbo even got in.

Really the only reason I got in was because of my perfect grades, tubbo got in because his cool magic. God I wish I had cool magic, or at least could control my magic. A few minutes later I reached the entrance of the garden. There was a few people there but not enough to make me run the other direction.

I got out my phone and started walking over to a bench so I could relax, but of course im unlucky so I run into a guy much bigger than me. God kill me now. "im so sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" I almost shouted from the fear and embarrassment I felt.

"Welp I guess your paying with your life" the guy said with a terrifying voice. "Wha- what heheh" i looked at him in the eyes, terrified about what was about to happen to me. He was much taller than me and more muscular then me, but I guess that's not really saying anything im pretty week.

His green eyes stared at me for a solid minute before he broke out into  a historical laughter. "What?" I said my voice shaky. "I was joking man, but that face you made was hilarious. You really thought I was about to kill you and on school grounds" he continued to laugh. I just stood there confused.

"Dream! Are you messing with another freshman" a guy said running up behind the man who was still laughing. "Sapnap what hell man, why do you run so fast." Another guy came running after the other two. The first guy had jet black hair held up by a bandana, the other had blonde hair and blue eyes that looked like they could hold storms inside them.

"I'm sorry but whats going on?" I asked still very confused about this interaction. "I'm sorry but my brother Dream here is a joker and likes messing with the freshman." The guy with bandana said. Well im not a freshman so im still very confused and why does there names seem so familiar?

"Sorry man didn't mean to freak you out but it was hilarious" the guy named dream said. "Um for one im not a freshman im a senior." I said then paused to see there reactions. They all just stopped what they were doing for a second. "And two do I know you guys? Sorry if thats weird it just your names sound so familiar."

"Sorry about thinking your a freshman dude." The dream guy said looking awkwardly at the ground. "And I dont know, maybe? What's your name?" He asked looking up for a second. "I'm karl, I just moved here, well I lived here before but I had to move away. I'm new to the school but im a senior." I said smiling hoping they would also introduce themselves so I didn't feel so weird.

"Oh well hello karl, im punz and this here is my bestfriend sapnap and his brother dream." He said smiling back. He seemed very sweet. "Wait, karl right? is your last name jacobs perhaps?" Dream said looking over to me. I guess I do know him or he stalks me. "yes it is, well its Smith now since my mom remarried." I said looking at him in the eyes.

"WAIT? Karl jacobs, I remember you we were like bestfriends in middle school or some shit, wow its been years. How have you been? Punz you remember karl right? You had like a huge crush on him back then." Sapnap said as he nudged punz in the elbow.

Now that I think about it i remember them, sapnap had blonde hair back then though And punz was more shy back than. "Oh fucking shut it you dumbass" punz shouted as he what seemed like shocked sapnap. "Ow dude, you need to chill with your little electric shocks there" sapnap laughed.

"Wait sap did you dye your hair black?" I asked, the nickname just coming out from memory. "I forgot about that nickname and yeah I did ive been dying it for a few years now." He said as he smiled at me. "Karl if I remember you didn't know what your powers were back then all you knew about them is that they made you see some weird shit." Dream asked looking over to me.

"Hahah you know whats funny nothings changed" I said looking at the ground, kinda embarrassing to tell your old bestfriends that you haven't seen in years that you still haven't been able to control your powers. I still don't even know what they are.

"Wait really in all that time?" Dream says probably looking over to me. Now there gonna make fun of me. "The only thing thats changed is that they make me pass out and the visions now make my head hurt like hell." I say looking up for a second.
"Well that sucks dude, if any school this school will definitely help you understand those weird powers of yours." Sapnap says trying to cheer me up. I smile agreeing.

I felt my phone buzz so I take it out my pocket to check it. Its a message from Tubbo saying that my roommates are back. "Oh sorry guys I have to go, my brother just texted me that my roommates are back with food. So ill have to be going back soon." I say smiling.

"Wait your brother tubbo?" Punz questioned. "Yeah he's going here now" I say confused slightly. "oh thats cool I haven't seen him since forever." Punz says giving me smile. " well here karl thats my number so we can hang out more" sapnap said handing me a piece of paper with his number on it.

"Oh thanks, ill text you later today. I guess I'll talk to you guys later" I said as I waved goodbye. I'm going to die now to much social interaction for today. I'm just glad I get food when I get back.
