"Oh my God!" Omkara mumbled looking at the million things she'd packed as Gauri opened her suitcases. He had offered to help her arrange her clothes after making space for her things while getting rid of many things that he needed no more.
Gauri shook her head at his tone, as she wiped the shelves of the wardrobe and spread out a shelf protecting sheet on it, saying, "I will do it, Oberoi. I really don't need your help." Omkara shrugged looking at her, not before glancing at all of her clothes she had packed in her bags, "I have nothing else to do, and I'm bored. I'll help you finish this faster. Anyway, it looks like we'll be taking the whole day to do this." Gauri frowned, as he nodded with a pointed stare as if standing by his words.

At noon, the two of them took a break from all the arranging they were doing. With most of it put in place, only a few other articles were left. "We actually finished a lot more than I had thought I would," she said, smiling at her neatly arranged clothes in the cupboard, right next to his. Standing next to her, he grinned, "Told you we'd finish quicker if I helped you!" Gauri smiled at him standing up as he helped her by pulling her up, and wrapping her arms around him, she smiled cutely, "Thank you, husband!" He chuckled as he ruffled her hair making her frown slightly at that, before pulling out his phone saying, "What will you have for lunch? I'll order food."
"Why are you ordering food?" Gauri said with a frown, pandiculating and stretching after being seated for so long. Omkara's gaze had immediately flown to the tiny strip of skin at her midriff when her action caused her t-shirt to ride a bit high. Before she could notice his gaze on her, he looked away.
"I'll cook!" she said looking at him staring at her. She smiled as she picked her phone to call her mother up as she walked to the kitchen to remove the paneer from the fridge. Knowing Omkara's love for paneer, she knew that if there was anything available in abundance in the house, then it was cottage cheese. Omkara grinned, when he heard her greet her mother over the call and then ask, "Mamma, do you have some jhatpat recipe for paneer for lunch?"

Omkara sniffed as he chopped the onions. They had decided to cook some paneer pulao, and while Gauri was prepping the other ingredients, he had offered to help her. She smiled mischievously at him as he wore his sunglasses to chop the onions to reduce the burning of his eyes.
"I see you love chopping onions!" she said, almost cackling evilly. He looked at her, and she couldn't tell if he was glaring or not because of the reflectors that hid his gaze. However, when she saw his nostril flare a bit, she bit her lower lip trying to hide the smile. Without a word, he resumed his task, not before sniffing again. Oh, how he hated chopping onions!
A while later, when Gauri was sauteing the onions, she saw Omkara aimlessly loitering around in the kitchen, with his eyes focused on the cashew nuts that she'd fried and kept aside for garnishing the pulao. He thought she was busy and wouldn't notice if he grabbed a handful of them to munch on it. Just when he extended his arm to pick a few fried cashew nuts, Gauri smacked his hand and glared at him. "I've kept them aside for a reason. I need them for garnishing!" Omkara frowned, rubbing the back of his hand where she had hit him, saying, "I'll only eat two or three of them; you can add the rest for the garnishing. Or even better, don't garnish the pulao. Just leave it in the saucer for us to eat."
Gauri placed her hands on her hips, "If you eat them now, you're going to lose your appetite for lunch!" Omkara knew she made a valid point; his hunger was going to die if he started munching. Because both of them knew he wasn't going to stop eating with just two or three. Like a child who had been denied playtime, Omkara hung his head low, mumbling a disappointed "fine", as he walked out. Gauri stared at his retreating back till he was out of the kitchen, but smiled when she found his antics cute.
