Chapter 8... You can run but you can't hide!
'' Oh, look at the poor little dummy who is now mopping our school canteen. Isn't she cute?'' Jeremy said whilst taking a video of me with his phone. Wait! That dude is not even helping me to clean up the mess that we started and now is taking a video of me! What the heck?
'' Stopped taking a video and help me clean up this mess, Jeremiah!'' I yelled at him whilst putting down the mop and stared at him when he smirked at me before saying,'' Could you please say the word please so that you sound more polite.''
Breathe Sam! Breathe Sam! I inhaled as much air as possible before saying,'' Mr Jeremy, could you please help me clean up this mess and stopped taking a video of me?'' I asked with sarcasm dripping from my mouth. I basically have no expression when I asked him so I wondered if he could sense my sarcasm.
'' Erm, could you smile, Ms Francis?'' Jeremy asked whilst pulling both my cheeks in an opposite direction, forcing me to smile. I pushed his hand away from my face and rubbed both my cheeks softly. It hurt my cheeks. I looked straight into Jeremy's eyes, making sure that he saw how bugged I am with him. No! That innocent eyes is a distraction! The innocent eyes of his is softening me up! Focus! Focus! Exhale! Inhale! Exhale! Inhale! This dude here is just testing your patience here, Samantha! My inner voice encouraged me. It took me every single inch and muscles of my body to not stranggled him because of his annoying behaviour. My hand balled into fist so that I would be able to contain my anger from turning into action. I wondered how my fist would feel when it lands on Jeremy's face. Okay, now focus and do whatever he asked you to do!
'' Mr Jeremy Freeman, could you please helped me by cleaning up this mess? And please stopped taking a video of me?'' I asked while emphasizing the word please out loud for him to hear it. I forced a smile out which took every single muscle in my face to do that. Jeremy stopped videotaping me and placed his phone back into his pocket. An evil smile creeps up on his lips.
'' Ms Samantha Francis, I am sorry but the answer is unfortunately a NO. There's no way I am going to lay my hand to clean up the mess besides you are the one who started it,'' he smiled as if he had just given his most well-written speech. He adjust his clothes for some reason, ran his hand through his hair and stared at me with pride on his eyes. 'Excuse me, you're the one who smashed the cake on my face and now you're blaming me?' Was what I want to say.
'' Oh really?'' I asked, although it is not a question. When Jeremy opened his mouth to reply to my question, I tackled him to the ground before he could speak a thing. I didn't know where the courage to tackle him down the floor came up from. Maybe it was just my boiling anger which gave me the courage?
He slipped his hand around my waist swiftly like a wind and pulled me down along with him. I pushed his chest continuously but then his grip around my waist was too strong. His back landed on the ground first where I heard a soft bang and cracking of bone sound. Ouch, that must have hurt him. He looked around his surrounding with pain written on his face and saw me on top of his chest.
He looked at me unbelievably that I was on top of him. A genuine, true smile appeared on him. I placed my hand at his sides and slowly pushed myself up. My feet was straddling with Jeremy's feet so I bend my knees to get up from that awkward position. I'm sure I was flushed at that moment. I can't help but pushing myself up whilst having my eyes fixed on his innocent toddler, emerald green eyes.
