Happier (Version Two)

I miss her, I miss her every damn day. Minatozaki Sana, I hope you're hearing this because not only are you happy with someone else now, I'm... happy for you too. I hope she treats you well and gives everything you've ever dreamed of, unlike me. I used to be a useless musician with a big dream, and you got tired of that.

Flashback

"Dahyun, I'm gonna head out." She said to me with an emotionless expression.

Whatever happened to 'Dahyunnie'..?

"Right now? But I thought you were gonna come with me to the record label that wants to sign with me..?" I asked, sounding a bit disappointed.

"It's probably gonna be like the rest, it's not gonna work out. Anyways, don't wait for me to get home." She told me before walking about the door.

...

I went to the record label building alone, as always. Sana never accompanied me to these type of places, even when she promises she would.

"So, what do you think of the song?" I asked the producers, obviously nervous.

"I think..." He turned around on his swivel chair and faced me, "It's great! Welcome to SK Records, Ms.Kim!"

"Really?! That's great! I have to tell Sana about this!" I exclaimed happily and excused myself to leave the building.

...

After I got home, I opened the door in hopes of Sana being there. But what shocked me was that...

I saw Sana kissing another girl...

"S-Sana..?"

Her eyes widened at my voice and she quickly got off the girl she was having a make out session with.

"D-Dahyunnie, I can explain..!"

"Sana, just tell her already..." The girl interfered and wrapped her arms around my girlfriend.

"Who are you?! AND GET OFF MY GIRLFRIEND!" I screamed at her angrily.

"Dahyun, just listen!" Sana yelled, making me look at her with teary eyes. "This is Tzuyu... my girlfriend. I've been cheating on you."

"What..? Sana, I thought we had something special! We even planned our future-"

"That's the problem, Dahyun! I'm tired of waiting around for you and your dream! BECAUSE IT'S NEVER GONNA WORK! Tzuyu can give me ANYTHING I want while YOU'RE STILL HOPING FOR SOMETHING THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN!"

"Leave..." I mumbled and lowered my head.

"Dahyun-"

"I SAID LEAVE!"

End of Flashback

"This song is for you, Sana. I hope you're somewhere out there, happy with Tzuyu." I smiled and sat down in front of the piano, the crowd staying silent.

I performed my song entitled 'happier' that was dedicated to Sana. I know she always watched the music channel, so I hope she's watching this.

"Dahvlies, you can only hear a short portion of this song because it isn't finished yet. But I really wanted to sing it so here it is!"

Dahvlies is the name of my fandom name.

(A/N : I suggest listening to Olivia Rodrigo's 'happier' and imagine Dahyun performing it on the piano.)

After pressing the last key, the crowd cheered loudly and screamed "KIM DAHYUN! KIM DAHYUN! KIM DAHYUN!"

...

Sana stared at the TV, tears running down her face. She's married to Tzuyu now but somehow she's still... hurt.

"D-Dahyunnie..."

"Sana-chan?" The voice of her wife called, so she immediately wiped her tears and turned off the TV.

"Yes, jagi?"

"I have popcorn, what movie do you want to watch?" Tzuyu asked with a smile.

But in Sana's mind, she's slowly being reminded of Dahyun. When San was sad, Dahyun would never leave her side even if it meant missing something important. Meanwhile Tzuyu never even bothers to ask Sana if she's okay. When Sana was sick, Dahyun would take care of her to the point she also got sick. Tzuyu would just let the maids take care of Sana while the latter goes to parties. If Sana made a mistake, like burning food, Dahyun would laugh and say it's okay then help her. But Tzuyu would yell at her and scold her for the mess she made.
