Ranboo was thirteen when the apocalypse happened.

He was celebrating his birthday with his family and a couple close friends. How funny, that everyone he cared for died on his birthday.

Was it his birthday? It might've been his sibling's birthday.

Ranboo didn't dwell on that thought, not wanting to think about it and instead he started walking through the woods after leaving his shed.

It had been two weeks since he found the shed, after escaping a "group of his" he took shelter in the worn down shed and stayed there. It proved to be stable enough, but he'd have to keep moving. After all, he stole weapon's, ammo, food and water from a group.

Surely they'd kill him for it.

Nobody was merciful during these times, except a few. But they ended up dead.

Ranboo's heart clenched, feeling remorse for those few good people left.

More so the ones with family.

He sighed, gripping his hunting knife tightly as he walked throughout the forest. It seemed pretty clear, and he hasn't seen much.. things, unlike the city area's.

Oh right!

Ranboo pulled out a small notebook from his backpack, quickly scribbling down a note to himself.

'Stay away from city area's'

Faint groaning came from behind him.

"Shoot-" Ranboo whispered, quickly throwing his pen and notebook into his bag. Adjusting his hold on his knife, Ranboo started walking quicker.

Killing the thing's never sat right with him.

He'd been told numerous times he'd die out there if he didn't kill them.

Ranboo rolled his eyes, well he's made it this far.

And with that, he continued trudging on. He'd be heading North, since there was word of a sanctuary?

Ranboo would take his bets with that.

Maybe he should make a stop for food.

Fuck.

"The closest place is a city, the safest choice is even farther out. But would it have ammo? Or water, food?" He asked himself, groaning in frustration as he argued with himself.

It's getting a bit cold, and it's slightly dark out but he should be able to make a quick run. Plus he hasn't eaten in awhile and he was really low on ammo. He has to make the trip.

"Oh man-time to try and not die, hopefully." Ranboo said sarcastically, talking to himself calmed his nerves sometimes. Since he was always so isolated, hearing something other than his footsteps was greatly appreciated.

"I might have to uh-" He looked at the sky briefly, biting his lip nervously as he paused.

"I might have to find shelter somewhere for tonight, and I can head back home in the morning. It'll be too dark to see the.. crawlers."

He shivered.

Crawlers were always a trouble. They were quiet, fast and intelligent. Ranboo had watched a man get mauled by one after he set camp outside. That was the reason for rule one in his notebook.
