Intro: Makishlah steals the most eligible bachelorette and becomes king
Short: Makishlah and Valerian's daughter Iolanthe has a thing for a certain merman.
Ailashiel, still broken hearted from losing Valerian, volunteers when the Waynah (Dwarves) require a good-faith hostage to prevent war. Unfortunately instead of spending his time tied up in a dwelling and being left to grieve in peace, he catches the eye of the chieftain's little sister and spends his days tied to her.
Trynruss and Rexwan find a refugee on their borders--a Fae woman from the Dark Court. The backwards laws of that Court claim that any female that is "not pure" be destroyed, even if it was not her choice. Running from the dark creatures that captured her and her princess, the terrified Fae woman is given an ultimatum by her king: in three month's time she must tie herself to one of the princes or return home to be honorably executed.
Rexwan leaves just after Trynruss' wedding. He has lost his chance at love twice now. Is he destined to be alone? What IS that smell? What IS that creature that glares at him through thick brown fur? She's not from his world, but when he meets her eyes, she instantly becomes his world.
Makishlah II: Being the youngest prince, born after the death of your eldest brother whose name you share but whose legacy you can never live up to, doesn't make life easy. Your older brothers have the kingdom carved out, have already specialized and made names for themselves. Then they all start getting Mates--Mates that are not Draechegan--and suddenly the one born so late, the one that never had a chance at the throne, is the most eligible dragon bachelor. It's enough to turn a young man's head--if a certain Draechegan woman hadn't already done so.
