The day wasn't so much different from the usual days. Wake up, brush my teeth, take a shower, the usuals.
I sat in class as I read through my notes, I was late to class because I had a Monday morning meeting with the Principal. I would have to give him weekly updates about the school, upcoming events etc. He was such a pervert, he wouldn't miss any opportunity to check a girl out when she was wearing a short skirt, or exposing a little cleavage. He even stared at me which made me uncomfortable. Luckily for me, I don't see him around much, only Monday Mornings, and I know how to dress myself when i'm around him.
I wore a cropped sweatshirt that said "Snob" on it, and some high waisted Jeans.
"Quite the Snob aren't you Miss. Carver?"
"No, not really sir." I sweetly smiled when really I just wanted to gauge his eyes out for looking at me like that.
We talked for a good 15 minutes, and I was late to class, I had a test today which I spent my weekend studying for, while my best friends were "having a ball and hitting the blunt" Since, I was late. I had to sit at the back of the class, next to Brandon. Ugh. I groaned aloud and every one turned to look at me.
I quickly looked at my desk infront of me and bit my lip. After a few minutes I took a quick glance at BrandonI who was to my left, and saw there was a slight bruise on his forehead.
"Pssst, what happened to your forehead?" I couldn't help but ask.
"Why do you care?"
"Grumpy. I just do. Tell me."
"None of your business, it's not like you care anyways." He stated.
"But I do, I'm not like the other people that are going to go spread rumours." I tried defending myself.
He raised his eyebrow at me and cocked his head to the side and gave me an intense stare before replying. His stare sent shivers down my spine as those grey eyes pierced mine.
"What makes you so different from the others?" He asked while crossing his arms over his chest.
"You should know." I blurted.
He gave me a questioning look before we started writing our tests again. From time to time he would glance at me, not the paper infront of me. At first I had the notion he wanted to copy from my paper. But whenever I looked at him, he just looked into my eyes, no where else. I instantly broke the eye contact.
I could hear my heart thumping and when I put my hand against my chest, I saw him smirking at me from the corner of his eye. I didn't know why my heart was beating so fast, was it because he was looking at me? Or was it because I was nervous about the test?
I glanced at my watch and it said 10:25.
"Shit!" I mumbled to myself, only 5 more minutes to finish. I quickly scribbled down my answers and slumped in my chair once I was done. I glanced at Brandon who was fast asleep on his desk.
"That boy will never give a shit." I muttered.
Moments later, our teacher came around collecting our tests paper. Brandon's left leg hit the desk as Mrs. Grumpy Anderson woke him up and took the test from him. The bell rang and I quickly walked to my locker. I couldn't process what was happening, Brandon's words kept repeating in my head. "What makes you so different from the others?"
As I took my books out of my bag and put them in my locker, I felt a hot breath at my neck.
"You didn't answer my question."
I quickly spun around and almost lost my balance from the shock. His firm hands held me in place and pushed me against my locker. Shutting it with a thud.
"W-Wh-What question?" I stuttered.
He obviously noticed that I was embarrassed and shocked when he held me like that. Instead of answering me, his grip on me just tightened.
"Well?" I asked, it was now my turn to raise an eyebrow at him.
"What makes you so different from the others?" He asked again.
