--Charlotte's POV--
"What makes you so different from the others?" He asked.
I thought about it, I felt speechless for the first time in my life. I obviously knew what made me different from the others, but I had to come up with something smart and witty. I kept thinking. When his voice suddenly interrupted my thoughts for the nth time.
"Well, what makes you so different from the others?" He asked again with more annoyance and arrogance in his tone.
I was mad now. What made him think he could talk to me like that.
"What if I didn't want to tell you?" I said, trying to pry myself off him. Instead he gripped me even tighter that our bodies almost touched.
"Then don't bring it up. Ever again." He threatened. "I don't like the feeling of being vunerable." His breath was at my ear and it made my body shiver. Something inside me made me think I needed to make him stop.
"Whatever" I yelled while shoving his hand off my waist.
"By the way, nice ass." He said while smacking me lightly and walking away chuckling.
I was mad, far from mad actually and my face was red, I bet I looked like a tomato right now. I wanted to wipe that smirk off his face. I don't even know if it was embarrasment or anger. I clenched my palms into fists. Was he bipolar? He yells at me first, next thing you know, he's smacking my ass and complimenting me. The sound of the bell took my out of my trance as I realized it was time for my next class. Art.
"Ugh could this day get any worse?" I groaned.
Did I mention that destiny loved playing games with me? Because it does. Unfortunately, this day could actually get worse.
I walked into class and sat next to my friend Sarah. She looked lively and cheerful as ever. Her smile was enough to light up the whole room.
"Hey!" She chirped.
"Hey" I replied. She knew I was sort of the serious types, not the high-pitched excited girls.
"Class, today we will begin a new assignment. You will all work in pairs to create an artwork, you will not have the option of deciding your partner. I have carefully selected a partner for you, a person that you have never collaborated with before." My teacher exclaimed.
She started announcing the groups, I only paid attention to a few.
"Arthur and Taylor."
"John and Ann."
"Ana and Marie."
"Sarah and Tyler." I heard Sarah groan as she heard that.
"Charlotte and Brandon."
"Dorothy and Nina."
"Till and Sean."
"Wait what?" I'm with Brandon? This must be a mistake, I quickly raised my hand up.
"Yes, Charlotte." My teacher asked.
"Um Miss, sorry but who am I with again?"
"Brandon."
"What?" I shrieked.
"Is there a problem?" My teacher asked.
I was out of words so I just shook my head violently.
Sarah patted my back and whispered "Good luck." before walking and making her way to Tyler.
Brandon tapped my shoulder. "Looks like you're stuck with me." He had an evil smirk on his face.
"Right." I replied.
"So what artwork are we supposed to do anyways?" He asked.
"I don't know, she said she would tell us in the next class."
"Okay whatever." He groaned and walked away.
I knew that I would have a hard time working with the arrogant Brandon Cambell.
