Chapter 9: Becoming a Demon

A few minutes later, Giyuu started to feel exhausted. Finally, Giyuu fell down and Doma was ready to finish him. However, someone arrived and gave Doma a small attack.

Tanjiro's POV

I saw a bunch of butterfly appeared and I knew that Miss Kocho. "Ara ara! Looks like I have just arrived in time! Upper Moon Two..." She said softly but I could still smell anger in her. "Don't forget about me!" A voice said, and it was Mr Uzui. I was stunned, because I know that Doma couldn't handle all of them alone except...

At this moment, Muzan Kibutsuji came out from a door behind everyone.

Muzan's POV

"Haha! Such a crowd party! Did I miss something?" I said. "Muzan Kibutsuji!" The pillars shouted. I didn't respond but started to have a fight with them. "Wait!" Tanjiro yelled. "Don't kill them." "Alright alright!" I answered.

So...a fight between the demons and pillars started. Of course, the pillars were not strong enough. Soon, wounds were all over them.

Shinobu's POV

"You are too weak, but I am sorry that I cannot give you a quick death because my mate doesn't want to." Muzan Kibutsuji said. "It is not over yet..." I thought. I secretly took out a poison and stood up, trying to give him a final attack. "Dance of the Dragonfly: Compound Eye Hexagon!" Muzan seemed not to realise that. "This is my chance!" I thought, but a person protected him. "T-Tanjiro..." Muzan mumbled.

Tanjiro's POV

I realised Miss Kocho's action and rushed to Muzan. I pushed Muzan away and the needle which carries poison has stabbed my back. I fell down and started to feel tired. Muzan hold me tightly and yelled, "Tanjiro! Tanjiro! Don't sleep!"

After I heard Muzan yelling, I became unconscious and didn't know what happened next...

Muzan's POV

I picked up Tanjiro and stood up. I shouted, "You bunch of asshole! You will pay for what you have done! Let's go, Doma!" "Yes, my lord!" Doma answered. Then, Nakime used her blood art and teleported us back to the infinite city.

I teleported to my room and placed Tanjiro on my bed. "Call doctors!" I ordered the demon maid. "Yes, my lord." I turned around and held Tanjiro's hand hard. "You cannot die yet, Tanjiro." I thought. 2 minutes later, the doctor came and took a look at Tanjiro's wrist. He said, "U-uh...I am sorry, my lord! The poison is too strong. This has already affected his lungs. Soon, it will affect his heart and brain." I was stunned. "What the hell are you talking about!?" I shouted. He bowed down quickly and said, "I am sorry. I am very sorry, my lord! But, I really can't do anything about it..." "Ugh! There must be a way..." I mumbled. "My lord! I have an idea..." The doctor said. "What is it?" "Maybe you can turn him into..." "Demon?" "Yes, my lord." "Hmmm..." I didn't know if I should do that, because I knew Tanjiro didn't want to become a demon. However, I couldn't watch him die... "Go out! I will take your advise." I ordered. "Y-yes..." The doctor bowed down and ran away.

My nails grew longer and darker as the doctor left. I placed them next to Tanjiro's neck and thought, "I am sorry, Tanjiro. I need to do this to keep you alive. Please forgive me." I stuck my finger into his neck and transferred a little of my blood to him. Then, Tanjiro's eyes widened and he yelled in pain. I held him firmly and was comforting him by patting his back. A few minutes later, he stopped and slept again.
