Midorya POV.

I woke up to the smell of something cooking over the fire. I sat up and yawned stretching a bit. It was early in the morning the sun just starting to rise. Birds sang in their nest waking up other animals. I walked out of small cave Kachann and I had slept in. He was sitting by a fire cooking some breakfast. I smiled and sat next to him.

"It smells amazing Kachann!" I said happily. He just grunted in response focused on the food and not me.

I shrugged and started cleaning up and packing out bags. Ever since we were little we had dreamed of going on dangerous adventures and exploring the world. Once we turned 16 we were able to get away from our town and start on that dream. I hummed with the birds when I heard a twig snap. I shot up and looked around. Kachann must have heard it to because he was standing up sword in hand.

There was silence not even the birds chirped. I looked over at Kachann and he slowly walked to me placing his hand on my shoulder. He had promised my mom he would protect me and not let me get hurt which was nice but I don't really need protecting.

"Hey who's there!" Kachann yelled looking towers the dense forest.

We heard whispering before someone was pushed out from behind a tree. He was tall and skinny with split hair red on one side and white on the other. He looked nervous and looked at me. He had two different eye colors one grey and the other a light blue he also had a scar. Odd I thought to myself before Kachann pushed me back and stepped infrount of me.

"Who the fuck are you and why are you standing there like an idiot" Bakugo said harshly.

I pushed infrount of him and hit the back of his head. "Don't be so mean! He's probably a traveler just like us sorry about him I'm Izuku Midorya he's my friend Katsuki Bakugo what's your name!" I could feel Kachann's glare as I smiled at the mystery boy.

"I- um name oh yah I'm Sho- Shota! Yeah and I'm here with my friend uhhh Kirishima" he said nervously almost like he was asking instead of saying it.

"Tch I only see you dumbass what do you have an imaginary friend" I hit Kachann again giving him a quick glare and turned back to Shota.

"Sorry about him he's just cranky because he hasn't eaten today!"

Shota was about to speak when another boy from behind the tree came running out. He was about Kachann hight and had sharp teeth and bright red hair. "Did I hear food! I'm starving!" He said smiling.

"This is kirishima" Shota quickly said pointing to the boy named Kirishima.

"Yeah we were about to eat breakfast I'm sure we have extra-"

"Is that a dragon hybrid!" Kachann rudely said cutting me off.

"Pfff what nooooo" Kirishima said nervously. I didn't notice before but Kachann was right Kirishima had almost a scaly look to his skin and you could tell he was trying to hide a tail and wings.

"Oh yeah! You are thats so cool! Can we see you in your dragon form! Omg let me get my notebook!" I quickly turned around and grabbed my notebook and pencil I had. I loved learning more about different creatures and was excited to learn more about this. When I turned around Kachann had Shota pinned to a tree with his sword pressed against his throat.

""Kachann! No hurting the dragon hybrid or his friend!" I yelled running over and pulling Kachann off him.

"He's lying about something! I know it!" Kachann growled glaring at Shota.
