you walked fast.
very fast.
"i'm gonna be fucking late, i'm gonna be fucking late! hurry, go, go...!" you mumbled to yourself, dragging your suitcase behind you, it's broken wheels making extremely upsetting noises as it continually made you stumble.
"FLIGHT 93 IS LEAVING IN 5 MINUTES. I REPEAT, FLIGHT 93 IS LEAVING IN FIVE MINUTES." a staticky voice made you jump into the person walking next to you.
"shit, sorry! i didn't mean to." you didn't hear the person respond, as you continued to walk like your life depended on it.
which it did, technically. if you didn't get on this flight, you could kiss your fat, sexy, plump ass goodbye, because these tickets were $1,150. that's worth two of you, and then some more! you'd also probably die if you didn't get to head to the bahamas. you need this break. you will quite literally explode.
"oh, there's the exit into the--" a smile appeared on your face, the dropped quickly.
they were closing off the entrance to the terminal.
"no, no! wait, hey-- ow!" you were pushed over, your suitcase's wheels finally breaking off. you were sure you looked like a sweaty, undignified mess by now.
you grabbed your suitcase, carrying it under your arm, and skillfully navigated your way through the sea of people, grabbing the attention of the person looking at the tickets.
"hi, um-" ypu caught your breath, slapping the (standing?) desk and leaning on it.
"sorry, i just ran like, two miles. um, this is my flight, is there any way i can-"
"no." her eyes were dead. you shivered.
"what do you mean 'no'?" you laughed nervously, "i mean, i paid for my tickets, they were a lot of money."
"what does no mean? it means. no."
"i- what? i was," you checked the time, "a minute late. can't you cut me some slack? please, i really need to get on this flight."
"if this flight was so, so important, you would have been here sooner."
your eyebrows furrowed, "come on, man! please, just let me through." your hands were sweating, and you could feel a familiar, sickening twist in your stomach.
you can't have missed this fucking flight. you couldn't have.
"i already told you, you-" the lady was cut off by another, someone who-
she was hot, holy fuck. you averted your eyes away from her, afraid she would notice how hot your cheeks were burning.
"come, natalia. there's no harm in letting her pass. i know you love to do your job well, but this one slip-up won't matter." even her voice was hot. that slight accent on top of her sultry tone. you think you fell in love. is love at first sight real?
the woman- natalia- narrowed her eyes, however, she let you pass.
you thanked the goddess-woman, to which she just smiled brightly. "it's my pleasure to help out people as beautiful as yourself. just give me a call anytime, darling." the last word rolled off her tongue smoothly, and you felt your ears heat up.
"yeah!" you squeaked out, and turned to walk into the plane.
"alright, the worst part's out of the way... i just have to find my seat... 204, 204... oh! there it--"
a loud cry cut you off.
you looked to the left of your seat, and there was the fucker.
it was a baby.
a fussy little fucking baby.
your shoulders drooped, "i should have known."

you watched lazily as the clouds below you passed. you always loved the sky, the air, anything that helped you feel free, as you always felt you were locked in place at home, doing the same thing, in the same area, always.
sighing, you picked your head off the mini-table in front of you, leaning it back. you let the music drown everything out, feeling yourself slip away.
the plane shook.
your eyes shot open, and you realize everyone had gone silent.
you all waited for a second, until you spoke, "what was that?"
...
"i think it was just turbulence..." a man, seemingly in his early thirties, said clearly.
"yeah... let's hope-" the plane shook violently, "fuck!"
soon, gravity was nothing but a concept as you flew into the air.
"i should have used my goddamn seatbelt!" you cursed yourself for not buckling up. those girls were right. "we told her to buckle up." you could her their taunting laughter in your head.
you hit the floor again, and everything went hazy. you vaguely felt yourself being pulled back, tumbling over yourself, hitting a wall. a shout of pain was heard echoing through your mind, and then you were forcefully yanked to the right.
you couldn't feel anything. you just spun around... where the hell were you?
you were too tired to open your eyes. it felt nice, just existing. then you felt the cold slap of air on your face, forcing your eyes open.
where's the ground?
you stared.
where's the fucking ground?
you screamed bloody-murder, tears falling upwards due to the air pressure.
"i'm gonna die, i'm gonna fucking die! please, no, why me? why? what did i do!" you sobbed, trying to grab onto air as you continued to flip without control through the air.
your heart was beating so fast in your chest-- it was going to burst! you felt your life flash before your eyes quickly, your brain attempting to find some way out of this situation.
mom, dad, please! someone, please help. another cry wracked your body.
you were helpless.
i love you mom, i love you dad, i'm sorry-
everything was gone.
