"JIU! SIYEON! YOOHYEON! DONGIE!" Dami used all her strength to shout louder than she ever had to. And quickly as well.

By the time they rushed to the door, they saw her gasping for breath. She slouched against the wall and closed her eyes.

"Dami!" Yoohyeon held her tight.

"Don't go. Don't go. Don't you dare go." Dami whispered to herself. This time the others could hear her and see her lips repeat the same movements.

SuA leaped off the bed looking bewildered, "Does this happen often? She get panic attacks?"

Yoohyeon glared, "She's dying!"

Dami went quiet. The others stared. Then she opened one eye. "I'm not dying. But someone is going to go. I don't know who."

Siyeon looked her in the eye, "Who's voice did you hear?"

Dami looked around at each of their faces. "I don't know. It sounded like mine but I don't think it was. I don't know!"

Yoohyeon hugged her, "What did you mean don't go? Where?"

Siyeon replied, "The forest. We shouldn't go to the forest. But I think we should follow the mist. I think it keeps us safe."

"I'm not sure." Dami kept a straight face, "But I do think we should stick by the mist like you said."

JiU nodded, "Now we just need to find it again. Follow it and see what happens from there."

SuA leaped off the bed, "But why did you say 'Don't go'?"

Dami, "It's what the voice said. And it was clearer this time than the other times."

"And then you had a panic attack?"

Dami shrugged and turned away. The first whisper in the car she found funny, but these ones weren't. Though she couldn't hear it just then, the last one echoed. It sent a ripple of uneasiness down her back and she shivered. It was a spooky night where the trees had fallen asleep and the world went black.

Something touched her, a hand on her shoulder, it could have been Yoohyeon but it didn't feel like her. It was strange how a second ago she was terrified and suddenly she was calm. Happy even. Her eyes drifted to the large screen and she gave a laugh. The small cartoon looked as daft as heck.

"You're okay?" Handong smiled beside her and didn't remove her hand from Dami's shoulder.

Dami nodded, "I'm okay,"

SuA nodded at them at smiled, "At least we know nothing is going to happen."

"Don't jinx it."

"Look, we're all still okay. You might have a tingly sense but I'm sure it's nothing. It could be the after effects of waking up and the city's gone."

Dami nodded calmly and held onto Handong's hand.

"We should all have powers. This might sound weird but what if we're 'special'?" Gahyeon asked.

Siyeon raised an eyebrow, "Obviously we are. We're human beings. Just kidding. Though I get what you mean, and I'm sure we all think we're different."

"But we are different. We know Dami hears whispers, though we don't know why they come. Yoohyeon can see in darkness. Siyeon, you can stop the mist."

Siyeon shook her head, "You're wrong." They looked at her and she raised her brows, "I get visions. I got a vision of us following the mist and just before there was one of the forest."

"What's yours?" JiU asked.

"I can reverse time. Just slightly, like a few actions."

Siyeon widened her eyes, "When I saw you fall! That's why you didn't get hurt?"

"I did get hurt. But I," she searched for a word, "erased it. I think we're all getting a little more stronger."

JiU, "So why haven't I got a power? And SuA? Handong?"

Handong removed her hand from Dami and gave a confused look to Gahyeon.

"Handong, I think you can control emotions." Dami realised.

"Let's try it." Gahyeon reached out her hand.

Handong examined it as if she was doing an experiment, "What emotion are you feeling right now?"

"Scared, sad."

In an instant Gahyeon laughed as soon as they touched, "This is so weird! How the heck are we superheroes?"

Handong let go and Gahyeon's smile faded. They hadn't realised how scared she looked until they saw her laugh.

"It's just me and JiU that aren't special?"

Gahyeon shook her head, "No, you should be. It might be like Dami and Siyeon's - only in your head. Or it could be more hidden."

"Well I haven't been getting any whispers and I'm sure if you touch me that nothing will happen. Anyway I'm going."

JiU shook her head, "After Dami told us not to go?"

"Relax. I'll be downstairs. This room's filthy."

She went and the others decided to clean the room. It was strange but the only thing they could think of to pay for the bird. And it was just a lot of stuff on the floor that either needed folding or putting away neatly.

Soon the floor had a few wrappers here and there. It needed putting in the bin and then they could rest. They'd have nowhere to go since the shed was too far away.

"We could go back to the forest." Dami suggested.

Siyeon shook her head, "No. We're not going there."

"Why?"

Siyeon sat down and looked at the floor blankly, "I saw something. It was a white hand. It could have been fake, but it was horrible. It looked real. We shouldn't go there."

Handong laughed, "What's a white hand going to do to us? We'll rest since it was quite comfy before. And then we can head off in the morning."

"No! I'm telling you that we shouldn't go there! What if the hand was one of us? Please listen to me."

JiU nodded, "Whatever happens we stick together, there was only one hand you saw?"

Siyeon nodded, "It was a full arm but the top part was buried. I don't want to think about it."

"I'll ask Theo if we can stay here. He's got SuA. I'm sure he could fit six more people in a house this big."

Siyeon stood up, "That's it! Dami, who's voice did you hear? Try to remember."

Dami thought long and hard, who told her not to go? "Ummm. Don't go... Me! It was me. But I'm still here."

"Maybe it wasn't to you! You were telling someone else not to go."

"Who? We're all here. Except SuA who's downstairs."

A door slammed, then a word of goodbye came from the two guys.
