Blair sat looking out her window thinking of how things can change over the years. She never thought her life would be this different with her aunt and cousin being the center of it all. Looking at the time, Blair knew she would have to get Caroline up and ready for the first day of school.

"Blair?" She looked up to see Caroline.

"At least I don't have to go wake you up." Blair said. "What's up?"

"I got a feeling that this year is going to be our year." Caroline said. "You will meet the one and so will I."

One thing about what Caroline said may not happen because there is Elena. Blair didn't mind it as she didn't care much for dating, but Caroline does and she knows this for sure. Caroline walked out of Blair's room talking more about what is going to happen this year. Blair looked back out the window and sighed as she left.

At school, Blair stood at her locker grabbing her notebook. Elena saw her and walked over. "Hey." She said gaining the blonde's attention.

"How have you been?" Blair said hugging her friend.

"I'm fine."

Blair sighed as she shut her locker and leaned her head back. "Do you think this year will be different?" She asked.

"Yeah."

Blair nodded as she walked away. On her way to class, Blair saw a dirty blonde walk by and a strawberry blonde, well that's what Blair could tell, walk by. Jayden looked back at the blonde and smiled at her making her smile back.

Caroline grabbed her cousin as they walked together. "Oh my god. We met the one." She said making Blair smile.

"Caroline, please don't get your hopes up." She said. "I have this feeling that one of them will pick Elena and...what I'm trying to say is don't get hurt over not being first because you are first in my book and someone will pick you first."

"Blair, this time she won't be first pick." Caroline said as she walked away making Blair sigh.

"At least you were warned." She mumbled as she walked off.

Jayden looked at the blonde who went to class. She's the one. If only he didn't compel her.

Fourth period came and Blair was not looking forward to the idea of going to Tanner's class. She hates him with a passion. Taking the same seat, Blair turned the page of her notebook to a blank page. "Why are you late?" She heard.

"We're new."

Blair raised up and saw the one person she wasn't expecting. Jayden Salvatore. He took a seat beside her making her look beside her and smiled. "Hi." She said.

"Hi."

Stefan looked at Jayden and the blonde. Jayden knew he was being watched, but he didn't care as Blair Forbes was a very interested person at the moment. Blair felt her phone buzz causing her to blush as she saw the message and faced the front.
~~~
Once school ended, Blair was by her locker when Jayden decided to speak to her. "Hello." She turned and smiled. "I'm Jayden Salvatore."
"Blair Forbes." She says with a smiled. "How was your first day?"
"Eventful, but I did get to meet you." He said making her smile.
"Do you want to hang out tonight?" Blair asked. "Tonight, there is a party at the grill and if you wanted to, we could go there."
"Sure."
Blair shut her locker and started walking with Jayden. "I think you should be prepared." She tells him. "If I know my cousin, she will ask questions to see if you are worthy to be with me."
"Should I ask why?"
"No." Blair tells him. "I don't have an answer."
Jayden nodded as he knew she was right. Looking at Blair, he knew he had to know her more. She wasn't like anyone he has ever met. Blair Forbes may be perfect for him.
That night, Blair sat at an empty table deep in thought when Jayden arrived. "Hey."
"Hey." She said as he sat beside her. "I'm sorry that its crowded, I didn't know everyone was going to show up."
Jayden smiled at her. They sat talking about everything as Caroline turned and looked at them. She smiled as she knew he was perfect for Blair. She walked over with Bonnie, Stefan, and Elena. Blair laughed at something he said till her eyes saw her cousin. "Oh, no." She said. "Caroline, can you please do this some other time."
"We have to know him too."
Blair groaned as Jayden smiled. "Its fine." He said.
Blair gave him a look making him smile even more. The blonde laid her head on the table as questions were asked. Jayden looked at Blair making Caroline kick her. "Ow!" She said. "Do that again and I will seriously kick you back, but more harder."
"Sorry."
Jayden looked at her and sighed. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah." She said.
Jayden nodded as he reached under the table and grabbed her knee. She looked at him and smiled as she knew that he was fine with this as he wanted to prove he was interested in her.
Second day of school and Blair was ready to snap as she sat in Mr. Tanner's class. She was listening along with Jayden when Elena was asked to answer the date of Pearl Harbor. "Uh...I don't know."
Blair heard him mentioning its been four months and that she should move on. Jayden watched Blair raised her hand. "Miss. Forbes?"
"Decemeber 7th, 1941 and you have no right to bring up how long ago she lost her parents. Its different from losing a girlfriend/boyfriend or a friend. They raised her, they were her parents and if you want to criticize her than you shouldn't be a damn history teacher."
No one said a word. Jayden stared in shock just like the whole class. "Very well." He said as he went back to teaching.
Blair sat down and looked at her notebook. "Now that was hot." Jayden said making Blair roll her eyes at him.
"Hush."
~~~
Blair was going to go to the party at the falls, but she didn't. Jayden arrived as he didn't see her at the party and saw Blair sitting outside. "I didn't see you at the falls."

"I was going to go, but I had a change of heart." She replies. "Why aren't you there?"

Jayden walked up and leaned forward against the rail as he look at her. "You weren't there."

Blair knew in that moment, she may have found the one in Jayden Salvatore.
