Jayden sat looking at the necklace he had begged Zach to give him vervain for. He wanted to protect Blair, not from him, but Damon. He knew his brother was up to something, but he just couldn't figure out what Damon was doing.

Blair smiled as she started to get dressed. She was excited for today as it was cheer practice. Something she has been looking forward too since school started. She heard a scream and ran to her cousin's room. "Caroline?" She said as she tried to open the door. "Open up so I can see if you are okay?"

"I'm fine." She said. "Just thought I saw a spider."

"Okay?" Blair said as she walked away, but looked back at the door. "I'll see you later, I guess."

Blair arrived just in time to see Jayden. "Hey." She said making him turn and look at her.

"Hey." He said. "I thought you wouldn't show."

"Well, I did and plus why would I miss knowing there is cheer practice." She tells him as she walked with him.

Jayden pulled out the necklace and put it around her neck making her look at it smiling. "I saw this and thought you should have it." He tells her as she looked at him. "What?

"Jayden, I don't expect anything from you." She tells him. "All I care about is how I am treated, not some gifts."

Jayden smiled and nodded, but he wasn't going to stop as this girl was different from those he has met. Blair looked at him and kissed his cheek making him hug her. "Now that you like your present, lets head to class." He said just to turn and catch a football.

"Now that, was amazing." Blair said as she watched Jayden throw the ball back.

Tyler looked at Matt shocked that not only was Stefan good, but so was Jayden. Elena saw the two and walked over to them. "Hey." She said gaining Blair and Jayden's attention. "I'm having dinner tonight so Bonnie can know Stefan better."

"That's if Blair is going."

Blair started thinking of what her plans are. "Sure." She said. "What's going on?"

"I'll explain later."

Jayden decided to try out and saw Blair stretching. She looked and smiled as she walked over to him as everyone watched them. "You look great, but you didn't have to."

"I know, but I didn't want to go home and deal with Damon." He said. "Plus I get to see you cheer."

Blair playfully shoved him towards the other football players laughing. Jayden smiled as he saw Stefan. Stefan shook his head at the two. Flirting and carrying on. "That's not the Jayden I know." Stefan mumbled making Jayden look at him. "What?"

"Blair is the reason why I'm not the guy you and Damon knew." He said as he caught the football.

Blair looked towards them and smiled as she went back to stretching when she saw Caroline. "Why is she with Damon?" Blair asked.

"I have no clue." Elena said as the two shared a look.

That night, Blair was dressed and ready for dinner and walked out of her room to smell cake. "Caroline?" She said as she walked downstairs and stopped seeing her decorating a cake. "Umm...should I ask what the cake is for?"

"Bonnie invited me to dinner at Elena's." She said. "You didn't tell me anything about it."

Blair sighed as she sat down. "Caroline, I love you and I know how insecure you become when Elena is in the room. I didn't say anything because I thought you was still upset with her for being first pick."

"Yeah, but I have Damon now."

Blair watched as Caroline went to the door to see Damon and Jayden. Jayden looked at Blair as she shrugged not understanding why he was at her house. Blair walked over to Jayden and sighed. "Why is he here?" He asked.

"Caroline." Was all Blair said as she walked out.

Jayden looked back in having a bad feeling about this. Something about this wasn't right and he was going to find out to protect Blair and her family.

Later that night, Blair sat beside Jayden as she tried to understand this new attitude Caroline has. "I don't know what the hell is going on, but you are not my cousin." Blair finally said. "Ever since you met Damon, you changed to someone that I don't know."

"Blair..."

"End it with Damon or I will refuse to speak to you till he is gone." Blair looked at Elena and sighed. "I'm sorry, but I need to go."

Elena and Bonnie nodded as they watched Blair leave with Jayden. "Blair." He said as she looked at him. "I promise you that I will find out what he is doing to Caroline."

Blair was in uniform as she was ready for the game. Jayden walked over and wrapped his arms around her. "Don't worry." He tells her. "Just focus on this game."

"I will." She said as shew turned she around and kissed him. "Good luck."

Jayden smiled as he walked away. Blair walked towards the cheerleaders, but she knew that whatever was wrong with Caroline, she would be close to finding out the truth.
