'What about the rest of us? What about the nobodies and the nothings, the invisible girls? We learn to hold our heads as if we wear crowns. We learn to wring magic from the ordinary. That was how you survived when you weren't chosen, when there was no royal blood in your veins. When the world owed you nothing, you demanded something of it anyway.'

P A R T I - S Y N O P S I S:

Elin Stenbock had struggled a lot in the beginning of her life, as many people do. With her parents abandoning her on the frontsteps of an orphanage late at night, the young girl never knew the true love of a parent or the means of a real family. Locked in the vicious environments of a Norwegian orphanage, Elin learned the means to survive; through her flexible ability to climb anything and fold into anything for hiding places. Plus, her occasional use of magic.

When the other children began to fear her capabilities, after a few horrible accidents, Elin was whisked away to the confines of Durmstrang, a strict boarding school where she learned to harness her magical abilities and used the giant castle as a playground for her to squander; by stealing people's lunches when they weren't looking, taking unopened birthday presents and eavesdropping on juicy conversations under the hold of the moonlight. As the years persevered, the more the darkness became her new home, a sense of familiarity hiding in the shadows.

Elin Stenbock took refuge in the freedom of London once her education was finished. She used her abilities in the dark corners of Knockturn Alley and stalked her victims throughout their day until she found them at their weakest. Taking their hearts as proof, Elin crept into the Gold Spades Casino where Cameron Selwyn rewarded her for the dead with a bag of Galleons. She spent so long in the darkness; between the orphanage, Durmstrang and now Knockturn Alley that now matter how hard you looked, it would be impossible to see her, even if she was right in front of you.

Until Fred Weasley saw her with the heart of Persephone Gallagher. The Weasley man was naive as they came, compared to Elin, but that didn't stop his curiousity. With too much persistence for his own good, trailing after her to college, her apartment and down the streets of Diagon Alley, the two began to spend more time with each other that isn't good for either for them. But maybe he will bleed gold onto the inky blackness of her world or perhaps, she will smudge the bright light within him?

A/N: Hey, I hope you tag along Elin's journey through the events of the sixth and seventh book. Updates will begin next Sunday and become a weekly basis thing. PS: Certain parts of this book are inspired by the Six of Crows duology so there will probably be little Easter Eggs hidden around these chapter. Aria xx
