Just as everyone settled down to eat, Mason announced that he'll be attending a Halloween party with some friends. Okay let's cut the crap, we both know little Mason is going to a frat party with possibly the entire college and not just "some friends".

I listen intently to their little dialogue to see how the parents will react.

"I'll be leaving in 15 minutes, lets just hope nothing uncanny happens at this party," I noticed his face go pale for a minute there as if he knew what would happen.

Aww, is Mason thinking of me? I appreciate it that he at least knows what I'm capable of, so thoughtful of him, I'm touched.

Oh don't worry Macey-Wacey, uncanny isn't even close to what I'm planning, I chuckle and go back to their conversation.

"Mason, don't get in trouble we've already got you out of many, and believe me, one more would not be the cherry on top, you hear me?" Mr. McCoy warns his son and Mason goes pale one more time, I presume his mind has gone to a particular day.

I sigh and remember that day but soon enough my unearthly face turned into a scowl when I realized that he is already partying, not aware of the pain he caused, no remorse in him, not a thought to what he has done to me, but all that is going to end tonight.

I overheard Mrs. McCoy scolding someone so I observed closely to see that she's caught the brother, who I still need to know more about, texting under the table.

{QUINCY}

"Quincy McCoy, what happened to the no-phone policy?!," I jolted once I heard mother dearest call my name, I looked up right after hiding my phone under my thigh, I had my innocent and clueless face on, "yes mother?" I looked at her while she scoffed and gave me one of her looks where she has got you, "don't you 'yes mother' me, now you either give me your phone or you explain yourself," I'm not lying when I say my heart dropped and I started to panic, she can't know what I was texting because if she did find out I'd be grounded until I graduate, but before I get to answer her, Mason covers for me.

Okay, this is making me feel suspicious about my brother because this might be the first and last time he will ever cover for me, I excuse myself from the table when I catch a glimpse of Mason observing me closely which seemed odd to me, I let my feet guide me anywhere in our household as long as it is far away from Mason.

Speak of the devil and he shall appear.

Just as I reached the hallway that leads me to the front door I feel a shadow cowering behind me, and once I arrived at the door, a hand appeared right above my shoulder and it stopped on the wall, I gasped, and my eyes widened as I turned around I saw Mason right in front of me with a dirty look.

"I know you're planning to sneak into the party with your little friends, you should thank the lord above, or else I wouldn't have saved you, do whatever you want just don't embarrass me with you and your little freak show that you call your friends alright?" I gulped one more time and nodded before scrambling away from him, but I know he wasn't that serious because when he thought that I left he chuckled to himself and I even heard him say to himself "poor boy, I don't know why he takes me seriously?".

I smiled to myself before going up to my room to get ready. By the time I made it up to my room, my phone could've vibrated itself out of my pockets due to the number of texts I kept getting, right after shutting my door I opened my phone and immediately entered our group chat.
