CHAPTER 1

Melody POV

This is the story of my life read on if you wish to know more. Well apparently your still reading so If you were wondering my name is Melody Samada. I'm that girl that you would see in the cafeteria sitting all alone off to the side. watching and observing the other teenagers with barley half a brain that goes to my high school, Markswood High. I'm the kind of person who would rather watch a good horror movie than go to some party.

I had a rough childhood, my mother got pregnant when she was 16, and my father didn't stick around long enough for him to know that he had gotten her pregnant in the first place. My mother was very beautiful and vain. She was kicked out by her parents when they found out that she was expecting me. Nice grandparents right?

I grew up with a mother that blamed all of her problems on me. To her it was logical to blame a ten year old that she didnt have money to do any of the things that she wanted to do because that money went to paying rent and buying food. As I got older i realized that she was never going to care for me like a mother should. I at least thank god that she didn't get an abortion like her parents wanted. Sometimes i feel like my life is a void filled with so much and it will end.

On this particular day it was raining hard. I love to listen to the rain it calms me for some reason or another. Rain to me was the washing of all the things that i wish i could change. At the moment right now my mother is passed out on our couch, she drowns her sorrows nowadays. I guess she forgot that she had to go to my parent teacher meeting today.

I get up and walk to my room wondering what I'm going to do tomorrow at school when i see my homeroom teacher Mr. Kneely. He was going to be mad he's been dogging me for months to talk to my mother. This was going to be the last straw. I can't afford another detention iv'e had five in the last month. I try to think about what things i could possibly do to get out of this problem.
