Chapter 2
"BEEP BEEP BEEP" I hear the noise which is from my most hated possession. God. I really wish I didn't have to go to school today. Just thinking about what’s going to happen today was grading on my nerves. I fell asleep last night before I could think of anything that would have gotten me out of the mess I was going to be in with Mr. Kneely.
I groan and roll of my small but functional bed. I went through the motions of showering and getting dressed. I stare in the mirror. I see my long black hair that I always keep in a braid, my gray eyes that i considered to be the storm of my soul wanting to get loose. I'm on the tall side but not overbearingly so. I have a curvy figure always hidden under baggy clothes. I'm not what someone would call beautiful, but I knew for a fact that I wasn't ugly. I was just plain, but I like it that way. Nobody ever bothered to talk to or even notice the girl that is as plain as a door knob. Well it didn't hurt that the girl in said example actually tried for this to happen.
I glance at the clock just notice that I was running late. "No no no! This can't be happening" It would not be good to be late today. Today was the day that we were supposed to get new students. I really don't want to have to show them around. Man even if I had a car I wouldn't make it on time.
Gaah, I give up There is no way that I’ll make it on time. Even though I know I won’t make on time I still run to school just to get to the doors and hear the late bell ring. “Damn” I let out a frustrated sigh and push into the building. Right when I enter the building I smelled something that rubbed me the wrong way. It wasn’t unpleasant at all but it just didn’t feel right to me. Kind of like when I would see how people in awkward situations would avoid each other. But that really didn’t really make sense to me, but I finally just chalked it up to my feelings on being late and smelling something unusual. That is most likely would turn out to be some ones new perfume.
I walked in the direction of the office to get a tardy slip. When I reached the door I got a weird sense of dread. I ignored it a continued to walk in to the office. “Ah, Miss Samada why are you late this morning?” the creepy janitor asked. I looked at him with my emotionless face but suppressed a shudder of disgust on the inside. He was a older man maybe in his early forties greasy brown hair flattened against his head, pervy eyes that seemed to follow any females moves that dared to come near him, I’m pretty sure that at one time he had stalked the girls in the girls locker room. I really didn’t want to talk to him so I just muttered a measly “overslept” then continued into the enterer of the office to were the front desk was.
I walked up to the lady behind the desk and waited for her to notice me. When she didn’t I waved my hand to het her attention “Pardon me Ms. Hallen, I don’t mean to bother you but I need a tardy slip.”
“Oh no problem dear, just hang on one moment please.” I watched as she went to a shelf and pulled off a pad. “Alright dear, can you give me your name and reason for being late?”
“Yeah, umm my mane is Melody Samada. My reason for being late just that I over slept.” I finished with the information that I had to give then watched her fill out the little paper. Just when she was about to hand me the paper the principle’s door banged open to reveal four people walk out.
