I was laying in bed crying. I could feel my back stinging from the belt. I was hurting so much. I wanted to call Mira and tell her, but I was so mad at her.
The only person I could talk to was Beck. I then realized I still had his hoodie on, so I got on my shorts and shoes and snuck out of my bedroom window. I ran over to Beck's house and climbed into his window.
"Hey stranger," I said while climbing into his window.
"What are you doing?" he said.
"I just love stalking you," I said sarcastically.
"Haha, very funny. What are you doing here?"
"I need to talk to you."
"Are you ok?" Beck asked.
"No, not really," I said, and sat down on his bed."My dad, he um..." I said, scared to get the words out.
"It's ok if you don't want to tell me," he said.
I lifted up the hoodie and he saw the bruises.
"Your dad did this to you," Beck said.
"Yea, he does the same thing to my mom. I wish he would stop. I'm so scared that when my sister gets older he will do the same" I said about to cry.
He hugged me. "It's ok, you shouldn't go back there," Beck said.
"I live there I have to, and I don't want to leave my sister there," I said.
He hugged me again. It was nice to hug a guy that didn't hit me. I felt safe. I felt happy.
"Beck," I said.
"Yea?"
I pulled away from his hug. "I know I just met you but I really like you."
"I-I like you too," he said.
Beck grabbed my face and kissed me slowly, but then I pulled away.
"I should go," I said.
"Uh yea. Um nice kiss I guess. Bye," Beck said.
"Uh you too," I said, and climbed out his window.
I ran back to my house and went into my room. I was laying in bed when I heard a knock on my door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"It's me, your dad," Dad said.
I was terrified for him to come in, but he would get mad if I didn't let him in.
"Come in dad," I said.
He walked in and sat on my bed. I moved closer to my wall.
"You're scared of me, aren't you?"
"Yes, any person would be scared if their father takes his belt and hits them out of anger," I said.
"I know. I don't know why I do it. I'm so sorry hunny," he said, and put his hand on my leg.
"Don't touch me."
"I promise I won't do it again."
"That's what you said last time, but look here we are again," I said.
He grabbed my wrist tightly.
"Ow dad stop! You're hurting me," I said and tried to get my arm out of his grip.
"If you don't respect me no guy ever will. If you keep acting like that guys will only want you for one thing," my dad said, and tightened his grip on my wrist.
I took my other hand, slapped him, and pushed him off of me. I ran to my door, and then I blacked out. I only remember hitting the floor.
When I woke up I saw a bright light in my face. I looked over and saw my mom and my dad looking at me.
"What happened mom?" I asked.
"You um fell and hit your head," my mom said.
"Yea, after dad hurt me," I said and looked at him.
"Shut up now," my dad said.
After that the doctor came in and said that they wanted to keep me overnight. Tomorrow I would be able to go home.
"Hunny, me and your dad are going to go home and I'll see you tomorrow," my mom said and kissed my forehead.
After they left I got my phone and texted Beck, telling him to come to the hospital and stay with me for a little while.
"Hey Kat," Beck said as he walked in.
"Thank you for coming," I said.
"So what happened?"
"My dad, he um hit me in the head."
"This isn't ok. I'm telling the cops," Beck said angrily.
"You don't have any proof that he did those things," I said.
"But this isn't ok."
"Just stay here, please," I said and grabbed his hand.
"Ok, I will," he said.
All we did was talk. After a while I started to fall asleep.
I heard the door open. I thought it was Beck leaving, but then I opened my eyes and saw the doctors brought another bed in for Beck.
I must have been so tired that I just fell asleep holding Beck's hand. I really wanted to hurt my dad for all of the terrible things he did to me, but I didn't how I could
