Landon's head was on the table but she couldn't tell whether he was sleeping or not.

She hit his head which he responded to by groaning. "Why do you hate me so much." He groaned, sitting up. "A wife is meant to love his husband, Mrs. King. Why do you hate me so much?" He questioned, which brought Carlota into shock.

"Mrs. King?" She asked, sitting on the chair her Dad was previously sitting on. "Wife?"

He looked at her and nodded her. "You don't like the idea of being my wife? Being Mrs. King? And changing their names to Gabi and Mari King?" He questioned, leaving her dumbfounded.

"Landon, let's go and sleep," She whispered, tugging his shirt. She also realized she had never interacted with Landon when he was drunk. The last time she saw him drunk was Christmas with his sister. Landon was a different person when alcohol hit him.

"Should I sleep on the floor again?" He asked, looking at the couch.

Carefully, she got him up and walked over to the couch. She laid him down making sure to be careful and came down with him, allowing him to wrap his arms around her. "I'm sorry for being difficult." She let out. "But living in these conditions with Gabi and Mari isn't safe. I love my Dad but I can't keep them here."

"I understand. But promise you won't stop visiting your Dad." He whispered, fitting her head in the crook of his neck. "He's a nice person. He doesn't call me Landon but he's a nice person." He said, earning a chuckle from her.

"Yeah, I will. I'm happy we came here." She informed, shutting her eyes. "We can stay at my Mom's house if you want."

"I'd hate to worry her. I have a friend I want you to meet, though. He wouldn't mind us staying with him."

"Okay, we'll talk about this more in the morning. Get some sleep and hope for your sake you won't get a hangover."

He smiled, against her skin. "You know I love you, right?"

Squeezing his hand in a calming way a smile formed on her face. "And I love you too."

"Landon you said we'd get there in 5 minutes. It's been a lot of minutes." Marianna spoke, increasing Landon's headache. "Landon!" She cried, irritating him even more.

"Girls, leave Landon alone." Carlota ordered, causing them to frown. "If they're ever too loud you can just throw them out the window." She joked, causing the two girls to playfully scream.

"Thank you," He groaned, soothing his temples. "F*ck, why did I drink so much." He whined, drinking more water.

"Good for you." Carlota huffed, making a sharp turn. "Should I take the next right?"

"No, keep going straight ahead." He instructed, with his eyes closed.

It amused her that he was able to locate places easily. Carlota used her phone to locate everywhere she was going; even her parents' house.

When they arrived Gabriella and Marianna rushed to the front door and banged on it repeatedly. Unlike Marcus, Landon's anonymous friend was pretty wealthy and opened the door immediately.

He looked down at the two girls and smiled right back at them. "You're Gabi," He began pointing at Gabriella. "And you're Mari."

Carlota was impressed he managed to differentiate between the two. The only other two people who could do that were Landon and herself.

The friend stepped aside for the girls to walk in and look around the house cautiously. He looked at Landon and nodded. "You've finally let me meet her." He smiled, gazing at Carlota. "I'm sure he hasn't said a word about me to you, huh?"

She chuckled. "No, you should be Landon's only friend. I'm Carlota." She introduced, shaking his hand.

"Landon's soulmate I'm guessing." He chuckled smiling at her.

Landon rolled his eyes. "The rooms are set up, right? I really need to sleep." He said, walking into the house.

"I just wanted to tell you, when you and Landon were fighting he'd actually come spend the night at my house. So don't think he was out cheating on you." He smiled, letting her enter the house.

"How exactly do you know Landon?" She asked, curiously.

"He's my cousin." He explained, locking the door. "I think. I'm not sure. I think he's my cousin."

She smiled at him nervously. "You think? How could you not know if he was your cousin?" She chuckled.

"It's a little confusing. You see, when Landon moved to America he somehow hunted me down and forced me to believe we were related. His dad is my dad's cousin but I didn't know whether he was telling the truth." He explained.

"That and we don't have the same name which we should. But my mom passed away and my dad committed suicide because of it so I was desperate for family. Can't say I wasn't happy about accepting him as my cousin, though. He's my best friend." He smiled, looking at Landon drag himself, tiredly upstairs.

"I actually don't know your name."

Turning around with a smile, he realized he didn't even give her his name. "It's Harry Villan."
