It had been a week and not a day went by without Landon coming by to visit them. Carlota refused to live with Landon. She used his lack of space as an excuse but the truth was she didn't want to get hurt again.

There was a knock on the door, which caused the two girls to lose focus on the toys they're playing with instantly.

Landon opened the door with a smile on his face. "Landon!" The two girls yelled, running to hug their father.

Kids really don't hold grudges.

Once he was done supplying them with hugs and kisses he walked over to Carlota who was making herself up. "Where're you going?" He asked, sitting on the bed, close to her.

"Out." She responded bluntly.

"Can I come 'out' with you? I did spend 30 minutes driving here to spend time with 3 of you." He asked.

"No. Just go home and come back later."

He sighed. "Before I came up here, I spoke to your mom about you living here and she agrees with me. This place is a little too cramped for 5 people."

"How is it a little too cramped for 5 people? I used to live here with Joseph, my mom, Yasmin, and CJ. Isn't that 5 people?"

"Yes but your mom turned your room into a play area for CJ and Yasmin's room into a guest bed. You basically sleep with Gabi and Mari and it's-."

"I don't mind sleeping with my children. There's nothing wrong with it." She protested.

"Yeah, but are you going to be living like this for the rest of your life until they move out?"

Putting down the brush she turned to look at him. "Landon, if you think it's a little too cramped, then by me a house."

"I'm not sure if you realize I want to be living with you." He frowned.

"Yeah, living with me only to throw me out. And don't you think 5 people in your apartment would be a little too 'cramped'?" She asked, turning the tables on him.

"There are 3 bedrooms in my apartment, Carlota. A room for the twins, a room for Annie, and a room for us." He explained.

"You think I'll sleep in the same bed as you?" She scoffed, rolling her eyes.

He sighed, beginning to grow frustrated with Carlota's stubbornness.

Despite changing, Landon never stopped learning how to manipulate people. He was the CEO and founder of a successful company. Of course, he had to learn how to be persuasive and manipulative.

"Carlota, did you know that daughters who grow up without a father figure tend to throw themselves at boys for attention because they never had a male to give them that attention?" He over-exaggerated.

"I-." She didn't know what to say to that. "You know what, you're right. Our daughters deserve to see their father every single day without you having to visit them every day. But that doesn't change my mind on me not wanting to live with you so how about we co-parent. You can have them on-."

"No, Carlota. Don't you dare suggest that. I will not co-parent with you. Whether or not you know this, your parents still think those kids are Lorenzo's as well as  CJ. You're lucky I didn't tell them because I know you don't want that problem."

She huffed. She was cornered really. "But if I live with you it'll be very obvious, Landon. I don't want to live with you for you to throw me out the next time you get angry. And I don't want them to go through what I went through." She whispered the last part.

"But I've changed." He said, holding her hand. "I've seriously changed, Carlota. I never stopped loving you and not a day would go by without me thinking about you. Live with me for a month and you'll see, okay? In that month you're going to like it, okay?" He begged.

"Fine," She sighed, in defeat. She stood up from the dressing table and pulled up her ripped jeans.

"Are you going out with those jeans?" He asked, staring at it.

"What's wrong with it?" She asked, looking at it.

"Maybe a little revealing." He shrugged, still looking at it.

She cringed at the coat he gave her. "Landon, stop acting like you're my boyfriend and you can control me and what I wear. Just because you waltzed back in my life does not mean things are the same. And there are literally only two holes."

He groaned and ran a hand through his hair. "Okay, fine. wear your jeans."

He tried to imagine her in something more simple that wouldn't attract other guys as the two were out in public but he couldn't. He smirked, bending his head down to peck her lips. "There's nothing I can do to make you less attractive. You're perfect."

With her insides melting and face going red, her kids were watching with happy faces. Well, Marianna was happy. Gabriella was cringing hard.

"We need them to know we're happy. A loving family is a happy family." He explained, which caused disappointment to form on her face.

"I thought you were doing it because you wanted to do it." She frowned in a whisper.

"I did it for those two reasons." He shrugged, heading to Gabriella. He picked her up and kissed her head. "Where are we going?" He smiled.

"Uh, Arabella's house. She wants to meet Gabi and Mari so I'm taking them to meet Stephano." She explained, picking her bag up.

"Okay, let's go."

I don't know why I felt the need to say this now but don't expect this book to be the same 50 chapters it was last time. This book is going to be shorter because I don't think it's fair to continue making these characters go through this simply because I'll miss them. They're literally fictional characters that I've gotten too attached to.

I made a little aesthetic of Landon up there^^ hope you like it.

I also decided to update an hour and 30 minutes early because I'll be really busy tomorrow.

Updating Sunday

QUESTION FOR THE CHAPTER: HOW DO YOU THINK ARABELLA AND VINCENZO ARE DOING NOW?
