"Mike! Miiiike!" Myah desperately shouted while I was directing the ship. I had someone replace my position and trotted over to them as they stopped to catch their breaths. "What's wrong?" I asked. Myah, still hunched over trying to catch her breath, puts up her hand telling me to hold on a minute. "Sarah asked for your assistance." She said exhausted. I whistled for Jiānqiáng and hurried off down a path, leading away from the castle. "Wait! Where are you going?!" Myah shouted. "When Sarah asks for my assistance, that means that Jackie needs to get involved. Something must have gone wrong in order to need our help." "She said that she has a concussion and a fractured skull, I would think that something is wrong." Drifton responded. Then I took off as fast as Jiānqiáng could take me.
Once I reached the healing tree, I jumped down from Jiānqiángs back, and ran inside. When I got inside, Jackie was on the couch, facing the back, and leaning on her arm like she had a headache or something. A fairy looked at me, nodded, and flew over to her. It stood on her shoulder and whispered into her ear that I am present. She stirred, slowly glanced over her shoulder, and sighed as she got to her feet. "What is the problem?" She asked, sleep still in her voice. "There was an accident. One of the humans got hurt. She has a concussion and a fractured skull. Sarah requires our help." I told her as she fiddled around the room. She gathered a few things in her arms, but she set the stuff on the counter and leaned on it, panting. "Woah! Are you okay, Yīshēng?!" I dashed over to her. "Ungh." She said with her eyes closed. "Yes. I'm just dizzy. I will be fine. Where are they?" My hand is on her arm. "They are in the medical room. Would you rather ride Jiānqiáng?" She shook her head and brushed me away by making a swatting motion with her hand. "No, no. I can make it." She said, gathering the stuff back into her arms and rushed out. I ran out to try to stop her from flying but she had already taken off. I hop back onto Jiānqiáng and sped off, following Jackie.
We sped off faster than Jackie can fly, and it's a good thing because she was falling fast and about ten yards away from the castle. I ran over to catch her, the impact made me fall backwards with her in my arms across my chest. I groaned, but it was nothing that I haven't dealt with before. "Hey are you okay?" I asked while trying to get up. Her eyes are shut but her grip on the supplies is very strong. "I," she tried to speak up, "I don't feel too good." I pressed my forehead to hers but there's nothing wrong. That can only mean... No. There's no way. Ugh. Looks like we will just have to go inside and figure it out, along with the human. "Can you stand?" I ask gently. She nodded and I helped her stand. Her grip hasn't slaked on the supplies so I wrapped my arm around her shoulders to keep her from falling over. We stopped just before the doorway of the medical room. "Do you think that you are well enough to help us?" I asked cautiously. "I have just enough strength to help out, but once I feel faint again, I will lay down in the bed next to it." "Sounds like a plan." And we walked in.
Once we got inside, I saw that Sarah was having a hard time trying to get all of the supplies and trying to help the human girl. "Oh! Thank goodness you both are here. I really need your help. I....." She paused, seeing the state that Jackie is in. She glanced over at me with a concerned expression. "I observed that she has a concussion and a fractured skull. I have no idea where to start fixing her." Jackie stood up a little straighter and tried to brush me off, although I am still close to her, just in case. "Let me see." She said, walking a tad bit wobbly over to Stephanie. She put her forehead to hers to observe the situation herself. Suddenly she jumped back, a sound like ripped paper was made as she was disconnected from Stephanie, and she fell into my arms. "I've got you, Yīshēng." I whispered to her as I helped her to the bed that's next to Stephanie's. Sarah stood in shock, "What was that?! What are we going to do?! And, most importantly, are you okay?! She asked as Jackie held her head and her eyes shut tight. She waved off towards Sarah as if to tell her to not worry. "Sarah, could you gather and round up all the humans?" Jackie asked, slowly meeting her eyes to Sarah's while still holding her head. She hesitates for a moment but nods in confidence and says "Right away, Yīshēng." as she opened her wings and flew right out of the castle.
"Mike, can you fetch me the scalpel and then help me stand, please?" "Um." I said "Sure thing." I dashed over to the other side of the room, picked up the scalpel, and walked back to help her stand. "What are you doing?" I asked as she took the scalpel out of my hand. She approached Stephanie and said "We are going to perform a tri-blood transfusion. My blood will heal her and give you my memories." She made a slit in both of Stephanie's palms. I am speechless for a moment, "But that's impossible! You're not a queen!" She looked at me and only said, "Give me your hands, please." I wanted to hesitate but she looked serious, so I obliged. She made a slit in both of my palms and then did the same with hers. "Alright, now hold her hand like this." Jackie grabbed my left hand, squishing our palms together, and our fingers were weaved. I copied her actions, holding her left hand as she held Stephanie's right hand. I looked over to Jackie and just as I felt a tingling sensation in my hands, I watched as Jackie looked up and her eyes rolled into the back of her head. I blacked out momentarily, only to see Stephanie become healed. Suddenly, I received all of Jackie's memories. All of them rushing through my head and line of vision, just enough to drain my strength and bring me to my knees. The pain in my headis excruciating.
The disconnection of our hands made a ripped paper kind of noise. I press my hands to my head to try to soften the pain. "Mike," I hear Jackie say with a course voice, "This will all make sense soon." I look at her but all I see is tiny fragments of yellow light. That's when I felt like something heavy was weighing on my back. What could it possibly be? I wondered. "Jackie!" I heard across the room. I looked over, I saw Sarah with the humans staring at me, and then, I blacked out.
