Space. It's not something for the faint of heart. There is a war always raging somewhere. At the height of the spaceship race, someone decided to bomb our ship before we could finish it. We believe that it was the United States of America, but there was no evidence to prove our theory. Russia has been known for being a few steps ahead of the Americans, but we are also known for our hostile ways. Or at least that is how they view us.

"Yo, Siberian." That's my best friend, Curly. We met through a game on the PS5 and we've been friends ever since. Once he heard about the explosion of our ship, he stepped up to help out. "What's up?" I asked. He turned his head to face me and said excitedly "What if we are the first ones to discover a new alien species!" I chuckled and said "Dude, I can guarantee you that we won't be the first to discover them, but we will be the first ones to try to communicate with them."

The spaceship's notification system started to go off. "Looks like we are here." I said, turning off the alarm. The planet looks like an eyeball floating in a pool of black water that has glitter sprinkled in. The color of the iris is green with a hint of pink and a touch of gold. "If I wasn't aware that I was in space," Curly stated, leaning over towards me while pointing at the planet. "I would've thought that that was an actual eyeball." I shove him back and said while laughing, "Dude! What kind of drugs are you on?!" He laughs along with me, knowing that I'm only teasing him. Once we calmed down, I looked over at him and asked "Are you ready?" "Yeah." He said as he grinned at me. We buckled up, booted up the landing program, and flew down to the planet.

We practically burned up the ship just by trying to get through the atmosphere and the force field. Or at least that's what I think it is. Then the force field seemingly popped and let us through, except the controls are out, and at the speed that we are falling at, we can't get unbuckled no matter how hard we try. "What are we going to do?" Curly asked loudly, to try to speak above the noise. "Brace for impact!" I shouted. The ship was starting to dive in a spiral motion, so I closed my eyes shut tight, all while trying not to be sick from the spinning. I feel like I have had my eyes shut for so long that we are no longer spinning and the ship is just floating instead of falling. I peek just a tiny bit through my right eye and I am surprised to see feathers. "Woah. What's happening?" I was a bit startled. Curly is standing up and leaning over the computer to get a better view. "I think that they're helping us out." "Huh. Strange." I stand up to get a better view for myself. All that I see is huge, white, feathered things. They seem to have a similar body structure as us, except they have wings and they're twice the size, compared to us. I watch in awe as they take us above the trees over to a cliff that's holding a lake. We are set down about ten yards from the lake, and it's a good thing too because the ship itself is measuring to be at three hundred and seventy-five degrees on the surface. I almost wish that we had a pizza to cook on it. Just kidding. The creatures try to gather all the water they can in their hands but all that it's doing is sizzling. That's when we started to panic.

"Dude! What are we going to do?!" Curly asked. We are both drenched in our own sweat. I wipe my forehead off with my sleeve and look over at him as he rubs his hand that he just burned after trying to open the windshield in order to free us from the oven that we are stuck in. Suddenly, I heard a big splash. I look to see what's happening but all that I see is a huge rush of water flooding my vision. Once the water had stopped, there was a ginormous dragon eel-like thing sliding back into the lake. I test the glass to see if I would burn myself, but, thankfully I don't, and I open the windshield. Curly practically jumps straight out of the ship as we both slide down from the ship, and sprint for the lake. We strip off our space suits and jump into the lake to cool ourselves off, clothes and all. Honestly, I didn't even care that we just saw a huge creature that can eat us like we are fruit snacks. The cool water felt so nice after baking in that oven of a rocket ship.

When we climbed out of the lake, the creatures were nowhere to be seen. I looked over at Curly and asked "Where did everyone go?" He stopped trying to get water out of his hair, paused, and looked around. "What in the world? You saw them too, didn't you?" he asked as he looked around while walking towards me. "Yeah." I said. Then something caught my attention. A flutter of white in the distance. "Hey, I just saw something over there!" I said excitedly. Well, let's go check it out." Curly said. I found some long vines and climbed down into the next chapter of our adventure.
